Football Bet of the Day: Bologna’s woes in front of goal to continue on Monday

There are a few football matches taking place on Monday and one of them comes from Serie A as Napoli host Bologna at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium (19:45 BST, live on Betfred.com). Antonio Conte's side were unable to defend the league title this year but they are second in the table as they look to end the campaign strongly.
Bologna travel to Naples in poor form and my Football Bet of the Day is not going to be pleasant reading for their supporters.
Football Bet of the Day - 11 May 2026
- Which Team To Score - Only Napoli @ 7/5
*Odds correct as of the time of publication
Napoli have won nine of the last 12 home meetings and they are the 8/15 favourites to prevail here.
The draw is priced at 3/1, with both sides recording stalemates in their latest fixtures in the top flight.
Bologna are a 5/1 bet to complete their first-ever Serie A double over the hosts. Eight of the Rossoblu's previous 10 league games have gone Under 2.5 Goals, which is available at 10/11 on this occasion.
I am inclined to agree with Betfred in having the hosts as the favourites but of course I am seeking much better odds for our punters as this is our Bet of the Day column after all.
The market that jumps out at me is Which Team To Score, with Only Napoli valued at 7/5, which has an implied probability of 41.7%. This looks a very sensible play for Monday because Bologna head here in bad form and they have failed to score in each of their three most recent fixtures in the top flight.
Football Bet of the Day Stats
- Bologna have failed to score in their last 3 league games
- Napoli's previous three victories in Serie A have come with a clean sheet
- The hosts' past two victories over Bologna have been to nil
This was also a winning selection when the two sides collided in Riyadh back in December for the Supercoppa Italiana final in which Napoli were 2-0 winners, avenging their 2-0 defeat against the Rossoblu from November in the league.
The Azzurri have also posted clean sheets in each of their last three wins in the top flight. Conte's men have four victories from their previous five home outings in the league and their most recent two have seen them shut out their opponents.
Napoli have also gone two consecutive league games without conceding, which does not bode well for Bologna given their current goal drought.
In terms of this contest, I don't believe punters will find much better value than backing the hosts to be the only side on the scoresheet on Monday night.
