Football Bet of the Day: Stockport to inflict more misery on the Dons

Wednesday's footballing action is headlined by the Uefa Champions League quarter-finals, but there are also a couple of games from League 1 taking place. One of them sees struggling AFC Wimbledon host promotion-chasing Stockport County at Plough Lane (19:45 BST, Sky Sports+).
I have picked out my Football Bet of the Day from this clash, hoping to build on a winner in my most recent selection. Check out my latest selection below.
Football Bet of the Day - Wednesday, April 15

AFC Wimbledon vs Stockport Odds
Wimbledon are winless in seven league games and they are an 11/4 shot to come out on top here.
The draw is on offer at 5/2, and this was the outcome in Stockport's latest road trip against Bolton Wanderers.
Stockport are 19/20 to win their first away match since January.
Wimbledon have failed to score in any of their past four outings in the third tier, with BTTS - No available at 10/11 on this occasion.
It may be six consecutive away days without victory for Stockport, but they should really fancy their chances of tasting success in south-west London on Wednesday evening.
The Hatters are unbeaten in five league fixtures and are facing a side on a four-game losing streak. Wimbledon are just three points above the relegation zone and their performances in recent weeks have been concerning.
One of those defeats came against Stockport at Edgeley Park as the Hatters recorded a comfortable 3-0 scoreline on March 28.
Football Bet of the Day Stats
- Stockport have won 3 of their last 5 league matches and one of them was a 3-0 success at home against Wimbledon
- Wimbledon are on a 4-game losing streak in L1
- Over 1.5 goals has struck in each of Stockport's past 9 outings in the third tier
Stockport are looking to finish the term strongly to secure their place inside the play-offs. Dave Challinor's side are fifth in the table and currently have a four-point cushion on Plymouth Argyle in seventh.
The Hatters also boast two games in hand on the teams around them, with their clash against Wimbledon being one. This is an opportunity for the visitors to strengthen their top-six credentials, and they are in need of a response after losing 3-1 to Luton Town in Sunday's EFL Trophy final at Wembley.
Stockport are still on a good run in the league and I am expecting this to continue on Wednesday. Wimbledon's form has to give the Hatters real hope of another win, and the Dons were comfortably beaten in the reverse fixture just a few weeks ago.
Understandably, my Bet of the Day is result-based, and of course I am favouring the away side. But to make a Stockport win a little bit more valuable, I have gone for the selection that combines with over 1.5 goals.
This is because there have been at least two goals scored in each of Stockport's previous nine outings in League 1, and the Hatters have managed this feat themselves in five of them.
