Football Bet of the Day: Chelsea’s losing streak to continue

Manchester City have given themselves work to do in their final eight games of the Premier League season. They are nine points behind leaders Arsenal but they still have to face the Gunners, and they also boast a game in hand. The Citizens' next match comes against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday (16:30 BST, Sky Sports Main Event).
My Football Bet of the Day comes from this clash, and you can read all about it below.

Chelsea vs Manchester City Odds
Chelsea have won just one of their last four league games and they are a 21/10 shot to prevail on Sunday.
The draw, which has been the outcome in each of Man City's past two outings in the Premier League, is priced at 3/1 here. The Citizens are 11/10 to collect the three points, which they have accomplished in two of their previous three away trips in the top flight.
City will be pumped up for this clash following their 4-0 thrashing of Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals last weekend. Erling Haaland bagged a hat-trick in that contest and he is the 4/5 favourite to strike anytime at Stamford Bridge.
But for my Bet of the Day, I am focusing on the match result. I am aligned with Betfred in favouring Man City because they are in much better form than their hosts. Pep Guardiola's side have lost just one of their last 18 matches in the league, while Chelsea have lost three from four heading into the weekend.
Football Bet of the Day Stats
- Man City have won 4 of their last 6 league matches
- Over 1.5 goals has landed in 10 of Man City's past 11 PL fixtures
- Chelsea have lost 3 of their previous 4 outings in the top flight
The Blues are currently outside the top five places by a point, so boss Liam Rosenior may be under some pressure.
City are in need of going into their title-winning mode as they have nine points to make up on Arsenal with eight games left. Guardiola's men were impressive against Liverpool, and they have won four of their past six fixtures in the top flight, so I am confident the away side will prevail on Sunday.
But to improve the price in a City victory, I have added over 1.5 goals to the selection for an 11/8 price, which has an implied probability of 42.1%. There have been at least two goals scored in 10 of Man City's 11 most recent fixtures in the Premier League, while this was also a winning bet in January's reverse at the Etihad which was a 1-1 draw.
This has also been a winning selection in 15 of Chelsea's last 16 matches in the top flight.
