Football Bet of the Day: Routine win appeals at 13/2

Real Madrid will begin their 2025/26 La Liga campaign on Tuesday night, when they welcome Osasuna to the Bernabeu (20:00 BST, live on Premier Sports 1), and that match will be the focus of our Football Bet of the Day.

Los Blancos finished second in La Liga last season, and will be hoping to go one better this term, while the visitors will be looking to replicate last season’s efforts after securing a ninth-placed finish.

Real Madrid vs Osasuna Odds

After participating in the Fifa Club World Cup over the summer, Real Madrid have had just the one pre-season friendly - a 4-0 victory over WSG Tirol. Los Blancos managed to reach the semi-finals in the USA, losing to Paris Saint-Germain, who lost to Chelsea in the final.

Xabi Alonso has brought in four new players to add to his side, signing Dean Huijsen, Alvaro Carreras, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Franco Mastantuono, and the Spaniard will be hoping that those additions will help his team finish above Barcelona this term.

Madrid finished four points behind their great rivals last year, and the Catalan outfit already have three points on the board, beating nine-man Mallorca 3-0 on Saturday night.

Alonso will be confident of tasting success in his first league game in charge as Madrid haven't lost to Osasuna in La Liga since January 2011, however the teams did share the spoils in a 1-1 draw when they last locked horns in February.

Like Real Madrid, Osasuna will also be under new management this season, with Alessio Lisci replacing Vicente Moreno earlier this summer.

Los Rojillos will be targeting another top-half finish this term, after a ninth-placed finish last year, and this season marks their their seventh straight season in Spain's top-flight.

However, it's been a very quiet transfer window for the visitors, and with limited incomings, it's hard to see them troubling the Real Madrid backline. That's why our Football Bet of the Day is for the hosts to win 3-0.

Last season, Osasuna failed to score away to any of the top four, while they finished with the joint-fewest away goals in the division. In addition, Lisci's side conceded three or more goals in five of their seven league defeats on the road last season, while they’ve been beaten 4-0 by Madrid in back-to-back visits to the Bernabeu.
