Football Bet of the Day: 7/1 punt from Parc des Princes

There's plenty of football to enjoy on Friday, but I've turned my attention to Ligue 1 and newly-crowned champions Paris Saint-Germain, who welcome Nice to Parc des Princes (19:45).
Les Parisiens are just four matches away from an invincible domestic campaign, while the visitors are hoping to keep their Champions League qualification hopes alive here. Read on for my Football Bet of the Day for Friday, April 25.
Football Bet of the Day - Friday, April 25
- Correct Score - PSG to beat Nice 2-1 @ 7/1
*odds correct at the time of publication
As mentioned in the introduction, PSG have already been crowned Ligue 1 champions, but they have the opportunity to complete an invincible campaign, as well as a Champions League semi-final tie against Arsenal on the horizon, so there's plenty still to play for.
Luis Enrique and his men will likely have one eye on their crunch clash with the Gunners, but trying to maintain an unbeaten league season should provide enough motivation to claim another three points here.
Nice have been struggling recently, winning just one of their last six league contests, and they sit two points behind fourth-placed Lille heading to the French capital on Friday evening.
The visitors can't afford to lose any more ground in what is an incredibly competitive race for a top-three spot, with just four points separating the teams between second place and seventh.
Football Bet of the Day Stats
- PSG are unbeaten in 30 league matches
- Three of Nice's last four games have finished 2-1
The hosts are 4/7 to make it 25 wins in Ligue 1 this season, giving them an implied win probability of 63.6%, while the draw is 100/30, and Nice are 9/2 to end PSG's unbeaten run.
There could be some rotation within the ranks of PSG, which is expected given their European commitments, and that's also why I'm backing Nice to get on the scoresheet here. Three of Nice’s last four games have finished 2-1, and both teams have scored in six of the visitors' last seven.
However, the hosts should still have too much quality for this out of sorts Nice side, which is why I'm opting for a correct score tip of 2-1. It's understandable that their focus is on European silverware, but they won't want to lose too much momentum going into the semi-final tie against Arsenal and they have been dominant at home this season.
Nobody has got the better of the hosts at Parc des Princes domestically, while Atletico Madrid and Liverpool are the only teams to have beaten them in the French capital.
