Football Accumulator Tips: Jamie’s 4/1 Weekend Cross-European Treble

A very near miss last time out where just one goal was the difference between success and failure but Jamie Pacheco is looking to bite back, so let's see what's in store at this week's 3-3-3 column.
His selections come from Italy, Portugal and France. One on Friday night with the other two on Saturday's slate. Check out his Football Accumulator Tips for this weekend below...
Football Accumulator Tips - Cross-European Treble
- Como v Juventus - Back Both Teams to Score @ 4/5
- Benfica v Moreirense - Back Vangelis Pavlidis to score anytime @ 4/5
- Angers v Marseille - Back under 9.5 corners @ 8/13
- Treble Odds @ 4.23/1
Welcome to the 3-3-3 betting column. Why is it called that? Glad you asked. It's not a formation to play when you've had a man sent off but rather:
3 - The number of different selections making up the acca.
3 - The number of different (non-English) European Leagues the selections are taken from every week.
3 - The minimum odds (3/1) or 4.0 if you prefer, that the acca will come to it every week.
And it really is as simple as that. The selections can be from any betting markets, as long as they meet the criteria set out above. And to round things off, every week I'll leave you with a cool (or at least I think so) bit of trivia involving one of the teams featured in the acca. Simples...
Current P and L: -0.393pts
For the second week running one goal, or the lack of it, was the difference between a winning week and a losing week with the two Milans being the culprits this time in managing only a 1-1 draw when we needed three goals in the game.
We had both teams scoring in the Ligue 1 game and Benfica scored three when we just needed them to get two, so a shame, but that's going to happen with a column like this now and then.
Como v Juventus
Friday, February 7 19:45
Selection: (Yes) Both Teams to Score @ 4/5
Como, managed by former Arsenal and Barcelona star Cesc Fabregas have strong 'both teams to score' stats for the season, especially at home, where 72% of their matches saw goals at both ends. That includes each of the last three, losing 2-1 on two occasions and wining the other 4-1 against Udinese.
Juventus are a good side to follow for BTTS away matches. Or at least they have been recently. Even though their BTTS strike rate for the season is only just above 50%, (54.5% to be exact), that doesn't show that all of their last five on the road have seen both teams scoring. This one ended 1-3 last season so that's another good omen.
Benfica v Moreirense
Saturday, February 8 18:00
Selection: Back Vangelis Pavlidis to score anytime @ 4/5
Benfica's Vangelis Pavlidis has been in fine goal scoring form of late with a goal last weekend at Estrela, a goal away at Juventus last week and a hat-trick at home to Barcelona the week before that.
Moreirense are in town this week, a side Benfica beat 3-0 last season so you'd think Benfica should get at least a couple here.
One good thing going for Pavlidis in this one is that Ángel Di María, the regular penalty-taker, is injured so Pavlidis will take one if they get one. Could make all the difference.
Angers v Marseille
Sunday, February 9, 19:45
Selection: Under 9.5 goals corners @ 8/13
Angers and Marseille are among the teams in the division whose matches tend to have the least amount of corners in them, so it's hard to know what to read into that. Just 30% of their home matches have had more than 9.5 corners while for Marseille away matches, that figure is also just 30%, remarkably.
So it follows that when these to are up against each other we may well have plenty of goals, cards or whatever else but probably not much in the way of corners. Prior to Marseille's trip to Nice, all of their five previous away days resulted in nine corners or less so the stats are very much in our favour here.
Nine or less again and we're in business.
James' Fun Fact
When Pavlidis scored his hat-trick against Barcelona within the first 30 minutes, it was the third-fastest hat-trick ever scored in the Champions League from the start of a match.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
