Slovan Bratislava (H) to beat Celje @ 19/20

First up is the second leg of Slovan Bratislava's Champions League second qualifying round tie with Celje. The pair played out a 1-1 draw in Slovenia last week with both teams scoring inside the first 11 minutes before a 30th-minute red card to Slovan's Kyriakos Savvidis turned the game into attack versus defence and in the end, the visitors were grateful to head back to Slovakia on the back of a stalemate.

Back in Bratislava, Slovan will now fancy their chances of progressing to the third round by beating Celje in regulation time on Tuesday (19:30). It won't be easy, but having battled through the best part of an hour unscathed with just 10 men, the Slovakians should be full of belief this week.

Slovan started their league season in fine fashion on Saturday as they went away to Komarno and won 4-1 - the returning Robert Mak scoring his first Sky Blues goal after leaving Bratislava for the Manchester City Academy in 2004 at the age of 13.

Celje should be fresh after being given the weekend off league duty by the Football Association of Slovenia, but home advantage could prove pivotal for Slovan, who should have just enough in the 90 minutes to avoid being taken to extra time.

O'Connor Knights (H) to beat Macarthur FC @ 9/2

The longest odds of them all as O'Connor Knights, who play their football in the NPL ACT - one of eight divisions in the Australian second-tier - host Macarthur FC in the Australia Cup round of 32.

The Knights are currently third in the NPL ACT after 15 games played and have won their last four matches in the competition, scoring at least twice in all four.

They now welcome an A-League side, Macarthur, to Wolter Park on Tuesday (10:30), with a place in the last 16 of the Australia Cup up for grabs.

Unsurprisingly, given the disparity in finances between the A-League and the National Premier Leagues, Macarthur have been installed as big favourites to triumph in Brisbane.

However, it's no secret that the Bulls are in a bit of a mess right now. Match-fixing allegations made against three of its players have rocked the club in recent months and thrown them into turmoil.

For varying reasons, Macarthur have also lost several players since the season's end, notably Lachlan Rose, Raphael Borges Rodrigues, Tommy Smith and Ulises Davila, all of whom played prominent roles during the 2023/24 campaign.

They've failed to adequately replace those stars thus far and will be heavily reliant on experienced pros like Luke Brattan and Valere Germain.

It's the perfect storm for the Knights, who can take advantage of the unrest in the Bulls' ranks and pull off a historic victory in the cup.

Morocco Olympic (N) to beat Iraq Olympic @ 2/5

Over in France, Morocco and Iraq meet in the Men's Olympic Football Tournament at the Allianz Riviera in Nice on Tuesday (16:00). Morocco shocked Argentina in their Group B opener last Wednesday, winning 2-1, but the Atlas Lions were brought back down to earth on Saturday by a 2-1 defeat to Ukraine.

The same happened for Iraq as they followed up a 2-1 win against Ukraine with a 3-1 loss to Argentina, and they now sit bottom of the group, though all teams have the same number of points (three).

It's all to play for in Group B, and both teams will fancy their chances in Nice on Tuesday. However, Morocco have been installed as favourites to win, and I see no reason to disagree.

Marshalled by Paris Saint-Germain star Achraf Hakimi and with Soufiane Rahimi - the competition's leading scorer with three goals - up top, Morocco are a force to be reckoned with.

Ukraine only stole a winner in the eighth minute of second-half added time on Saturday, showing that there was little between them and Morocco, so the North African side shouldn't be too downbeat heading into their group decider against Iraq.

Like Rahimi, Iraq striker Aymen Hussein is looking to net in his third-straight group game - but even a goal from the 28-year-old may not be enough to get the better of Morocco, who can secure their spot in the quarter-finals with a victory at the Allianz Riviera.

Dinamo Batumi (A) to beat Decic @ 8/11

Finally, we head to Podgorica, Montenegro for the second leg of the Europa Conference League second-round qualifier tie between hosts Decic and Dinamo Batumi.

Decic shocked the reigning Georgian league champions in Batumi last Wednesday, scoring twice in the space of four minutes in the second half to take a 2-0 lead back to Montenegro.

Dinamo must now recover from that debacle at the Adjarabet Arena and turn the tie around by winning by a margin of at least two goals at the Podgorica City Stadium on Tuesday.

It sounds like a daunting task but they are helped by the fact that Decic are not playing at their home ground and were held to a 1-1 draw there by Welsh side TNS in a Champions League first-round qualifier earlier this month.

The visitors have enough in their ranks to at least get the win on the night on Tuesday, but whether that will be enough to at least force extra time, remains to be seen.
