Jamie Pacheco didn't come good last week but there are still plenty of profits to play with and he intends to build on those.

This week the selections come from Ligue 1, Serie A and the Portuguese Superliga, so let's see what Jamie's going for with his Football Accumulator Tips for this weekend with the latest instalment of his 3-3-3 Column...

Football Accumulator Tips - Cross-European Treble

  • Toulouse v Rennes - Back Under 8.5 Corners @ 11/10
  • Inter v Verona – Benfica Under 2.5 home Goals @ 1/2
  • Estoril v Benfica – Back Benfica to win and over 2.5 goals @ 1/2
  • Treble Odds @ 3.72/1

*Odds correct as of the time of publication

Welcome to the 3-3-3 betting column. Why is it called that? Glad you asked.  It's not a formation to play when you've had a man sent off but rather:

3 - The number of different selections making up the acca.

3 - The number of different (non-English) European Leagues the selections are taken from every week.

3 - The minimum odds (3/1) or 4.0 if you prefer, that the acca will come to it every week.

And it really is as simple as that. The selections can be from any betting markets, as long as they meet the criteria set out above.  And to round things off, every week I'll leave you with a cool (or at least I think so) bit of trivia involving one of the teams featured in the acca. Simples...

Current P and L: +11.254 pts

Two very comfortable wins with Benfica thrashing AVS and a healthy win for Marseille also providing the goals we needed in that one, only to be let down by a lack of bookings in Como v Genoa. Or rather, the lack of one booking, as there were three, and we needed four. So a near miss and one that would have really had us in even more profit. But we still have a few more weeks to build on our strong P and L and we'll try to do so at the first time of asking.

Toulouse v Rennes

Saturday May 3 18:00

Selection: Back Under 8.5 corners @ 11/10

If you think backing a low number of goals is nerve-wracking, you should try doing it for corners.

But this match provides solid stats so we're jut going to have to endure the stress.

Just two of Toulouse's last nine home matches went over the 8.5 corner barrier as part of the stat that shows that 60% of their home matches this season have had eight or fewer corners, while Rennes have a 53% strike rate for away matches with less than 8.5 corners, too. So we just about have an edge there, too.

Eight or fewer would have been a winner in three of the last five between them so that gives us a bit of confidence, too.

Inter v Verona

Saturday May 3 19:45

Selection: Under 2.5 Home goals @ 1/2

Inter were involved in a brilliant match in midweek, drawing 3-3 way at Barcelona in what is an open tie that is one to look forward to next week.

This is a big next couple of weeks for Inter because a place in the final is very much up for grabs as is the chance to win Serie A with only Napoli ahead of them, though four points with four games to go could prove to be a priceless lead.

But back to this weekend's game. Of course, Inter will want to win it and stay in the title fight but they won't necessarily be busting a gut to win it comfortably with energy levels being saved for that big Barca game and we may see some of their key players left out for this one.

In other words, I can see this one end up 1-0 or 2-0 rather than the 3-0 or 4-1 that the league table may suggest. Besides, Verona may lose plenty of matches on the road but not by much. Their last five for example, ended 0-1, 1-1, 1-0, 0-2 and 0-1 and only three times all season have they conceded three or more.

So I'll go under 2.5 Inter goals at 1/2 and hope that trend continues of Inter (probably) winning but Verona putting up a decent fight.

Estoril v Benfica

Saturday May 3 20:30

Selection: Back Benfica to win and Over 2.5 Goals @ 1/2

And we go to the well once again with our old friends Benfica who have been pretty reliable winners for us over the course of the season.

If you want to play 'both teams to score' as a single at evens, you'll see far worse bets than that this week because Estoril are normally good for a goal at home, whoever they're playing.

But Benfica have now won seven of their last eight in the league (the anomaly being a 2-2 draw with Arouca) and all of those seven were wins with at least three goals in the match. So we're not too worried about a Estoril goal and would actually welcome it, with 2-1 or 3-1 lively runners for those who like playing the correct score market.

James' Fun Fact

After scoring at the weekend in that 6-0 win over AVS, the great Vangelos Pavlidis of Benfica has now scored a total of eight goals, netting in five consecutive matches.
