Football Accumulator Tips: 4.5/1 shot coming your way in 3-3-3 column

It was the second consecutive week that we were 2/3 last time out in my Football Accumulator Tips, and it was corners that caused us to fall at the final hurdle, which was a shame because the treble was at bigger odds than usual.
But on we fight and this week we’re in Vigo, Cagliari and Auxerre in search of that elusive three-way winning acca.
Football Accumulator Tips - 3-3-3 Column
Welcome to the 3-3-3 betting column. Why is it called that? Glad you asked. It’s not a formation to play when you’ve had a man sent off but rather:
- 3 - The number of different selections making up the acca.
- 3 - The number of different (non-English) European Leagues the selections are taken from every week.
- 3 - The minimum odds (3/1) or 4.0 if you prefer, that the acca will come to it every week.
And it really is as simple as that. The selections can be from any betting markets, as long as they meet the criteria set out above. And to round things off, every week I’ll leave you with a cool (or at least I think so) bit of trivia involving one of the teams featured in the acca. Simples...
Current P and L: -0.52pts
We were one short the last time we were in action, a similar story to the week before that. Atalanta won and we had both teams scoring as we needed them to in Valladolid v Athletic Club but Reims, despite winning 3-0, didn’t manage to get more corners than Le Havre (seven to Le Havre’s eight) so corners were our downfall again. Another close call and these are the hardest ones to take, but on we go after the international break.
Celta Vigo vs Barcelona – Back Barcelona to win @ 4/6
Saturday, November 23 (20:00)
It’s been a somewhat strange last few seasons for Barcelona. It’s been a while since they were really competitive in the Champions League and to make matters worse, arch-rivals Real Madrid have been as competitive as they come; they keep winning the thing.
But with a settled side that lacks some of the star names of yesteryear they’ve at least mastered winning in La Liga this season. They’re currently top with 11 wins and two defeats from 13 matches, six points clear of Real.
They travel to Celta Vigo this week and there are admittedly concerns about the fitness of Ferran Torres, Ansu Fati, Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski, who let’s face it, between them make up most of Barca’s attack.
But Fati hasn’t played much anyway, Torres should be good for a place on the bench and Lewandowski, arguably the most important of the lot, has had a good two weeks to recover from what wasn't a particularly bad injury anyway, having sat out the international break. He could well start here, though an appearance of any description from teenage sensation Yamal is slightly less likely.
Raphinha, another high-class forward player who has 12 goals in 17 for the season, will certainly feature though and hopefully, at least two from those four should join him in a front three.
Barca do admittedly come into this game on the back of a defeat at Real Sociedad but are up against a team sat in 11th and somewhat out of form with just two wins in seven and three defeats in that period.
Barca beat them twice last season including 2-1 in Vigo with Lewandowski scoring both so if the Polish captain does play, he’ll be feeling good about getting on the scoresheet. If not, others can step up, but Barca should get themselves (and us) over the line.

Genoa vs Cagliari – Back Over 47.5 Total Booking Points @ 8/13
Sunday, November 24 (11:30)
It wasn’t so long ago that that we were talking about Vinnie Jones, his (in)disciplinary record, and the time he picked up a booking after just five seconds.
Assuming he hasn’t gone soft over the years, you’d imagine if there was one team he watched every week in Serie A it would be…Cagliari. At least when they’re away from home.
Remembering that it’s 10 points for a booking and 25 for a red card, this has been their card make-up in games away from home this season: 65, 50, 95, 75 and 165 (!), this last one including two red cards for Cagliari men at Lazio. All five of those passed the 47.5 points barrier and in most cases, with plenty to spare.
Genoa’s record for over 47.5 points matches is only 3/7 so that’s a tiny bit of a concern. Ref Simone Sozza has handed out 48 yellows and a red this season which makes his average just, just above 47.5 points for the season across Serie and European matches.
But then again, he hasn't refereed a Cagliari match away from home yet this season, has he? If he had, his stats may look quite different.
Let’s see if Cagliari stick to what they’re good at, because Vinnie may well be watching.

Auxerre vs Angers – Back Both Teams to Score @ 4/6
Sunday, November 24 (16:00)
The expression ‘a match made in heaven’ doesn’t necessarily mean that someone ‘up there’ went out of their way to make sure that two people ‘down there’ were destined to be together and made it happen. I really need to stop taking things so literally.
Over in France, where they apparently know a thing or two about romance (or did they just make that rumour up themselves?) Auxerre and Angers may just be an example of a match made in heaven when it comes to that all-important common interest: games with both teams scoring in them.
Angers have a high BTTS strike rate of 72.7% for the season while Auxerre’s is strong at 63.6% too.
Both teams to score (BTTS) would have paid out in eight of Anger’s last 11 and in five of Auxerre’s last seven. It’s a shame that the fixture is at Auxerre’s ground rather than the other way around because the latter are 83% for away BTTS matches and Angers are the same 83% at home but then again, we would have got a shorter price at goals at both ends if that was the case.
There was some divine intervention the last time they played each other back in the 2022/23 season with the two matches between them ending 2-2 and 1-1, another omen that we might be about to get some help ‘from above’. Let’s hope so.

James’ Fun Fact
Robert Lewandowski’s father, Krzystof, who sadly passed away in 2005, would have made a decent tipster for this very site if his prediction skills are anything to go by.
He named his son Robert specifically so it would be easier for his name to be pronounced when he went on to play football outside his native Poland. This was before Robert was born, obviously, and he did of course end up playing not just abroad, but for some of Europe’s biggest teams, including Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
