Wednesday brings us the second European Championship semi-final as Spain face Germany in Switzerland, while there are also plenty of Champions League qualifiers taking place.
It has given us plenty to go at for Wednesday’s Football Accumulator Tips, which you can find below.

Spain to beat Germany -1 handicap (N)
Spain meet Germany for a place in the European Championship final (20:00 BST, BBC One) and I cannot see anything other than a comprehensive Spanish victory. The world champions have been so good so far during this tournament, cruising past the hosts Switzerland to reach the final four.
They’ve won each of their four matches at these Euros by two goals or more, and I don’t think Germany will be able to stop them either. They showed great resolve to fight back from one goal down against France with 10 players, after Kathrin Hendrich was sent off after just 13 minutes. They scraped through on penalties but will find life tough here, and if they go down to ten as they have in their last two outings, Spain will tear them apart.
Qarabag to beat Shelbourne (A)
Shelbourne got past Linfield to make it to the second qualifying round in the Uefa Champions League as they won 2-1 on aggregate, but they face a much tougher test this time around. The hosts face Azerbaijani champions Qarabag (19:45 BST, Premier Sports 1), who have been key figures in both the Champions League and the Europa League over the last decade.
Last term they won just one group phase game in the Europa League, but they did win the league by 15 points, losing just three domestic matches all season. They are so much stronger than Shelbourne on paper, as the Irish side fell at the 2QR in this competition last term, losing 3-0 to Zurich. I think Qarabag can secure an away victory in this first leg and qualify relatively comfortably.

Red Bull Salzburg to beat Brann
I’m backing another away side to come away as winners in the second qualifying round of the Champions League. Red Bull Salzburg travel to Brann (18:00 BST) as the favourites to qualify, and I think they can get the job done in Norway. Brann finished second in the league in 2024 and currently sit third, 16 games into the 2025 Eliteserien season, but they’ve lost two of their last five domestically.
RB Salzburg are moving through the gears in pre-season after a disappointing Club World Cup in which they picked up four points but went out in the group. Last term they finished second behind Sturm Graz and I think they will be too strong for Brann on the night.
The New Saints to beat Differdange 03
Dropping down to the Conference League now and Welsh side The New Saints are back in action on home soil. They were beaten by Shkendija in their Champions League qualifier but they have been handed a kind draw against Differdange 03, the champions of Luxembourg in the Conference League (19:00 BST).
Luxembourg are actually ranked two places above Wales in Uefa’s league coefficient, but I’m going to back The New Saints to get the win, given they have been pretty good on home soil of late - drawing with Shkendija 0-0 last time out. Let’s back them to get over the line.
