Buriram vs JDT (13:15 BST) - Buriram to win @ 11/8

Thai team Buriram begin their AFC Champions League league phase campaign on Monday with a home match against Malaysian side Johor Darul Ta'zim.

Buriram finished sixth in the 12-team East division table last season, securing qualification to the last 16, where they beat their upcoming opponents, JDT, 1-0 over two legs, before losing 3-0 to eventual champions Al-Ahli in a one-off quarter-final tie.

JDT finished third in the East division, but failed to score in 180+ minutes against Buriram in the knockouts, losing at home to a 58th-minute strike from Suphanat Mueanta. They failed to score in all three meetings with their Thai counterparts last season, with their first-ever head-to-head finishing in a goalless draw in the league phase.

Football Odds

Tuesday's visitors to the Chang Arena have since lost several experienced stars, including former Real Madrid and Stoke City attacker Jese and former Swansea City defender Jordi Amat. Ex-Watford and Sheffield Wednesday boss Xisco Munoz has brought in a whole host of Spanish-speaking players, but while they have made a great start to their Malaysian Super League campaign, winning their first five games, they will likely have to raise their level in Buriram.

The hosts have also made a perfect start to their league season, winning their first four Thai League 1 matches, and at home on Tuesday, against a side they shut out three times in 2024/25, beating them in their final meeting, they will fancy their chances of getting an early three points on board.

Al-Ahli Dubai vs Tractor (17:00 BST) - Al-Ahli Dubai to win @ 4/5

Al-Ahli Dubai, containing the talents of experienced internationals, Nemanja Maksimovic (Serbia) and Munas Dabbur (Israel), among others, host Iran outfit Tractor in the opening AFC Champions League league phase game on Tuesday at Al Rashid Stadium.

Al-Ahli Dubai came top of their AFC Champions League 2 group last season, and were only knocked out of the competition 3-2 on aggregate in the quarter-finals by Al-Sharjah.

Today's Football Fixtures

Tractor, who topped Group A, exited at the same stage, but they were dispatched 5-0 over two legs by Al-Taawon.

At home, Al-Ahli Dubai, who won all three AFC Champions League 2 league phase games in Dubai last season, should have too much for their Iranian counterparts on Tuesday.

PSV vs Union SG (17:45 BST, TNT Sports 2) - Both Teams To Score @ 4/7

Over in Europe, in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, to be more specific, PSV and Union Saint-Gilloise get their Uefa Champions League campaigns underway at Philips Stadion.

PSV are favourites to pick up all three points in this league phase contest, but the reigning Dutch champions could find things tough against the reigning Belgian champions, who are unbeaten after their first seven Jupiler Pro League matches this season (W5, D2), scoring in all but one.

Tuesday's hosts, meanwhile, have only kept one clean sheet in their first five league games, shipping seven goals across their last three.

PSV only kept a single clean sheet in last season's league phase, with both teams scoring in six of their eight matches, and in all four of their knockout games.

Union SG's last trip to the Netherlands was part-successful, as they beat Ajax 2-0 in Amsterdam during regulation time, before conceding in extra time and losing 3-2 on aggregate.

I'm backing the Belgians to score again across the border, in what could be a thoroughly entertaining encounter in Eindhoven.

Kaizer Chiefs vs Sekhukhune (18:30 BST) - Under 2.5 Goals @ 4/11

In the South African Premiership, Kaizer Chiefs host Sekhukhune at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg. Both sides are level on 13 points after five games played, with only Mamelodi Sundowns, who have played one match more, above the two teams in the table.

Goals have been particularly scarce in games involving the Chiefs, as they are yet to concede, winning 1-0 three times, 2-0 once, and drawing 0-0 with the Sundowns. Their game. Their games are averaging one goal, and last season, they were only averaging two.

Sekhukhune games were averaging 2.5 goals in 2024/25, but after five this term, just 1.6, and four of their five league outings, including the last two, have seen two or fewer strikes.

Under 2.5 goals has been a winning selection in seven of the eight meetings between Sekhukhune and Kaizer Chiefs, including the last three.

Velez Sarsfield vs Racing Club (23:00 BST) - Under 1.5 Goals @ 11/8

Argentine rivals Velez Sarsfield and Racing Club have been drawn against each other in the 2025 Copa Libertadores quarter-finals, with the first leg taking place at the Estadio Jose Amalfitani in Bueno Aires on Tuesday.

Three of the last five head-to-heads have finished 0-0 or 1-0, with Velez Sarsfield triumphing in Buenos Aires last October thanks to an 86th-minute strike from Braian Romero.

Velez Sarsfield are on a run of five consecutive clean sheets, so they will fancy their chances of keeping out Racing Club again on Tuesday. The visitors haven't scored in the last three head-to-heads, last finding the net in December 2020.

The first leg of continental knockout ties are traditionally cagey, and in a match between two sides of the same division, things could be rather attritional, so I'm happy to back under 1.5 goals, with another 0-0 or 1-0 highly likely, in my opinion.
