It’s Tuesday and we have a lot of football action to look forward to as the second legs of the Champions League qualifiers take place. We’ve also got Scottish League Cup fixtures coming our way which means we have loads of games to choose from for Tuesday’s Football Accumulator Tips.

Lincoln Red Imps to beat Vikingur

Lincoln Red Imps, our favourite footballing outfit from Gibraltar, secured a 3-2 win over Vikingur in the first leg away from home, which means that they return to the rock as big favourites to progress to the second qualifying round. 

Red Imps have 13 shots and seven on target in the away leg, coming away with a deserved win last week and I see no reason why they can’t find another success at home this time around. This one kicks off at 16:30 and is a decent price to start off our acca.

Alloa Athletic to beat Montrose

To the Scottish League Cup now and Montrose are yet to kick off their campaign having started with a blank gameweek. The travel to fellow Scottish League 1 side Alloa Athletic on Tuesday night (19:45), as the home side secured a 1-0 win over Bonnyrigg Rose in their League Cup opener. 

Alloa finished fifth last term, 11 points clear of Montrose, while Tuesday’s visitors failed to win any of their last six games at the end of the 2024/25 campaign. I think Alloa can catch them cold here and they should be able to make it two wins from two.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle to beat Elgin City 

Inverness finished seventh in League 1 last term and are preparing to get their new campaign underway, as they host Elgin City. Elgin finished fourth in League 2 before losing in the play-offs and the gap between the two should become apparent. 

Elgin were hammered 5-1 at home by Scottish Championship outfit Raith Rovers in their first cup fixture of the season, and I can’t see them being able to cope with ICT here, given there is an entire division between the two.

Queen of the South to beat Edinburgh City 

Another Scottish League 1 team here, as Queen of the South are in action at home against Edinburgh City. Edinburgh lost in the Scottish League 2 play-off semi-finals last season and will likely be pushing again this term, but Queen of the South finished third in League 1 and are a class above. 

They only lost 2-1 to Cove Rangers in the play-off semi-finals but should be able to secure a win on home soil against lower-league opposition. This football accumulator pays 13/2.
