Saturday 28th June 2025, 0:30am

There are a couple of last-16 ties from the 2025 Fifa Club World Cup taking place in the USA on Saturday, while the headline game in Europe comes from Slovakia, where England U21 take on Germany U21 in the Uefa European U21 Championship Final.

I'm staying away from all three, though, in my Football Accumulator Tips for Saturday, June 28, and heading to Japan, Norway and Canada for this 15/1 four-fold. Remember, when you place a Pre-Match or In-Play Football Acca (5+ legs, min. odds 1/2 per leg) with Betfred, you get a cash bonus up to 100% if you win, and if one leg lets you down, you get your money back in cash (up to £10).

Kashima Antlers (H) to beat Fagiano Okayama (10:00) @ 9/10

The first of two games from the J1 League in Japan, leaders Kashima Antlers host Fagiano Okayama at Kashima Soccer Stadium, with 14 points separating the sides in the table.

Kashima haven't won either of their league games this month, drawing 1-1 at home with Sanfrecce Hiroshima and losing 2-1 at Machida Zelvia, but they remain three points clear at the top, and boast the best home record in the division, claiming 26 points from their first 11 contests.

Today's Football Fixtures

Fagiano Okayama, meanwhile, are 13th in the 20-team standings, having secured promotion from the J2 League last year. They've performed well at home, winning 66.7% (18) of their 27 points there, but only five clubs have picked up fewer points on their travels than Fagi (nine).

They won away for just the second time last Saturday, but that was a 1-0 victory over league stragglers Yokohama F. Marinos, who didn't have a permanent manager in place at the time.

Kashima won the reverse fixture 2-1 in Okayama on April 20, and they'll be confident of getting back to winning ways on Saturday.

Football Odds

Sanfrecce Hiroshima (H) to beat Nagoya Grampus (11:00) @ 1/1

Staying in Japan, we head to the Hiroshima Big Arch for Hiroshima's game against Nagoya Grampus, who sit in 14th, 12 points behind their third-place hosts.

Hiroshima are unbeaten in the league this month, drawing 1-1 at Kashima before thrashing Yokohama FC 4-0 at the MNHK Spring Mitsuzawa Football Stadium last Sunday.

Nagoya, on the other hand, lost 2-1 at Vissel Kobe before being held to a 1-1 draw at home by Shimizu S-Pulse.

Nagoya won the reverse fixture 2-1 on April 20, but their away record is poor, having picked up just six points from 11 travel games - only Yokohama FC (five) and Yokohama F. Marinos (four) have claimed fewer away from home.

Hiroshima, meanwhile, have won 19 points from 10 home matches, with only Kashima (26), the Urawa Red Diamonds (25) and Cerezo Osaka (21) accruing more on home soil - and all three have played a game more than the Viola.

Saturday's hosts have won six of their last eight league games, losing just once, and they should have too much for their opponents this weekend.

Viking FK (A) to beat Rosenborg BK (17:00) @ 6/4

Over in Norway, runaway Eliteserien leaders Viking head to Trondheim to take on third-place Rosenborg at the Lerkendal Stadion.

The sides are only separated in the table by Brann, yet Viking are 10 points clear of their upcoming opponents, albeit the visitors have played a game more than Rosenborg.

Saturday's hosts aren't in the best form, suffering heavy defeats to Bodo/Glimt (4-0) and Kristiansund (4-1), either side of a 1-1 draw at home to KFUM Oslo and a 2-0 victory at Fredrikstad. They were also dumped out of the NM Cup at home by Sarpsborg 08 in midweek, making it just one win in their last five matches across all competitions.

Viking, meanwhile, arrive on the back of a nine-game win streak, and six of those victories have come in the league. They've kept three clean sheets in their last four Eliteserien matches, and seven across their last 10 in all competitions.

In the league, they've plundered 37 goals, 15 more than the next highest, Brann (22), and after losing their first away game at Valerenga, where they were reduced to 10 men in the 57th minute, they've embarked on a five-match winning run on their travels, and are an enticing price to make it six on Saturday.

Both Teams to Score - Yes in Cavalry vs Atletico Ottawa (23:00) @ 8/11

We end this Bet Builder at ATCO Field in Foothills County, Alberta, where instead of picking a team to win, I'm backing both teams to score in the Canadian Premier League contest between Cavalry and Atletico Ottawa.

The visitors are currently top of the standings, two points clear of their closest challengers, Forge, and four ahead of their next opponents, Cavalry, who occupy third place.

Atletico have been in free-scoring mode, netting 28 times in 12 games, eight more than the second-highest scorers, Cavalry (20), but they've shipped 15 goals, at least three more than any of the other three top-half teams.

Unsurprisingly, Atletico top the 'Both Teams to Score' table, too, with 66.7% (eight) of their 12 matches seeing at least one goal on either side.

Cavalry are fourth in that particular table, with 54.5% (six) of their 11 games seeing BTTS-Yes land, including their 3-1 home defeat to Atletico on April 26. That was the sixth successive head-to-head in which both Cavalry and Atletico had got on the scoresheet, and I think the two teams will serve up more goals on Saturday.
