Football Accumulator Tips: 10/1 shot for UCL action

Wednesday’s football action brings us a whole heap of Champions League qualifiers as the second legs of the second round of qualifying take place.
Liverpool and Everton are also in friendly action, but we will stay away from backing non-competitive matches - it’s a good motto to follow given the uncertainty of those pre-season games. Read on for Wednesday’s Football Accumulator Tips.

Maccabi Tel Aviv (H) to beat Paphos FC
After a brilliantly dramatic 1-1 draw in the first leg, which saw Maccabi Tel Aviv equalise in the 100th minute, the Israelis welcome Paphos FC to the TSC Arena (19:00 BST) on Wednesday. They won’t have home advantage as such, with this game taking place in Serbia, but they will still fancy their chances of progressing with the scores level after leg one.
The Yellows are in decent nick having won four of their last six, while they boasted 56% possession in the first leg, with both sides having three shots on target. This is an even match-up but I just believe that the nominal home side will be able to assert their dominance over the 90 minutes, and bring Paphos’ four-game unbeaten streak to an end.
Panathinaikos vs Rangers - BTTS
Russell Martin’s spell in charge of Rangers got off to a superb start last week as his side beat Panathinaikos 2-0 at Ibrox. That gives them a massive advantage heading into the second leg, as they benefited from a red card handed out to Greek defender Georgios Vagiannidis to score twice in the second half.
Debutant Djeidi Gassama made an instant impact off the bench with a wonderful goal, but it feels like this second leg (19:00 BST) will be more even and open than the first. The Greek side have to score twice to stay in the competition, so we can expect them to attack from the off with XI men. Despite the red card, they created an xG of 1.65 in the first leg in comparison to Rangers’ 1.57, so both teams should have scored statistically at Ibrox.
Let’s back them both to find the net in another thrilling tie.

Ludogorets (H) to beat Rijeka
Ludogorets got a 0-0 draw away from home in the first leg, and in truth it wasn’t an entertaining affair. There were only a handful of attempts on goal and it seems to me like the Bulgarians were happy to shut up shop and get the Croatians back to their own place with the scores level.
They are the stronger team on paper and I believe they were just waiting to make this a 90-minute match on home soil (18:30 BST). Rijeka did remarkably well to win the Croatian league ahead of the giants of Dinamo Zagreb and Hadjuk Split, edging out Dinamo on their head-to-head record after they finished level on 68 points. But I just think this may be a slight step too far away from home.
Viktoria Plzen (A) to beat Servette
Viktoria Plzen surprisingly lost 1-0 on home soil to Servette in the first leg as the Swiss outfit pulled off a perfect smash and grab. Despite that first-leg result, I’m more than happy to back Viktoria Plzen to get an away win (20:00 BST), based on the performance data.
They had a whopping 25 shots, with nine on target while Servette had two shots on target and created an xG of 0.34. By comparison, Plzen crafted an xG of 2.01 and were so unlucky to lose that home tie. The pressure is now on them to produce and they have to score to stay in the competition, but I think they can win this game in 90 minutes, even away from home.
