Flora vs Celje Betting Tips

  • Flora to win @ 11/2
  • Both teams to score @ 10/11

Flora have been regular competitors of Uefa qualifiers, but have only ever reached the group stages of one tournament - where they finished bottom of their Europa Conference League group in the 2021/22 season behind Gent, Partizan Belgrade and Anorthosis Famagusta.

Celje have never made it to any of the current Uefa competitions - their only participation coming in the 1997 Intertoto Cup - however, they have played four friendlies to prepare for this meeting in Estonia, winning two and losing one.

Team News

Flora head coach Norbert Hurt should have a fully-fit squad available for selection and will be expected to start star striker Mark Anders Lepik up front, with the Estonian leading the Meistriliiga with 14 goals so far this season.

Finnish centre-back Andreas Vaher recently joined the club on a free transfer from HJK Helsinki and the 20-year-old will be hoping to make his debut on Wednesday.

Celja manager Damir Krznar will have a big hole to fill in defence, with Zan Karnicnik unlikely to feature for the Counts after representing Slovenia at Euro 2024.

However, left-back Matija Kavic and centre-back Slavko Bralic have both joined the club on free transfers in this transfer window and could make their debuts as replacements.

Despite playing at home in the first leg, Flora are the underdogs in this contest at 11/2, whereas the visitors are a warm 4/9 to take a lead back to Slovenia.

The draw provides odds of 3/1, while over 2.5 goals pays out at 4/5.

Flora to win @ 11/2

Flora are already in the midst of their domestic season, currently lying in third place, and the hosts’ superior match fitness could be the key to ensuring a vital first-leg victory in this encounter.

Celje have not played a competitive fixture since May and have only ever made it past the first round of Champions League qualifiers on one occasion, so history is not on their side.

Flora have only lost two of their last six home European matches and another victory in front of their own fans could therefore be on the cards.

Flora to beat Celje at 11-2

Both teams to score @ 10/11

Five of Flora’s 10 home matches this season have seen winners in the 'both teams to score' market and another could be in store against a Celje side who have netted in all but one of their last nine away matches (including friendlies).

Each of Celje’s last seven competitive fixtures have also seen goals at both ends so there could be chances for both sets of strikers in this clash.

Both teams to score - Yes in Flora vs Celje at 10-11
