Wales will hope their bad performance against England in last week's friendly won't be repeated in their Uefa World Cup qualifier against Belgium in Cardiff on Monday (19:45 BST, BBC iPlayer).

The Dragons are one point behind the Red Devils heading into this Group J clash. Below you will find my Wales vs Belgium predictions, aided by the latest team news and match odds.

Wales vs Belgium Betting Tips

  • Belgium and both teams to score @ 5/2

Team News

Wales goalkeeper Karl Darlow is certain to start between the posts, while Neco Williams, Joe Rodon, Ben Davies and Jay Dasilva are set to retain their places in defence despite their defeat against England.

Ethan Ampadu is often a key cog in midfield, and the Leeds United star could be joined by Liam Cullen in the middle of the park.

David Brooks and Harry Wilson are likely to claim two of the three spots behind striker Kieffer Moore, with Brennan Johnson set to complete the attacking quartet for the Dragons.

Football Odds

Belgium centre-back Zeno Debast is likely to be selected to play next to Arthur Theate. Debast is rumoured to be interesting Premier League clubs, so there may be a lot of eyes on his performance in Cardiff.

Attacking midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is at his best when freed from defensive responsibility, so perhaps Amadou Onana and Nicolas Raskin will be asked to do the gritty work.

Striker Lois Openda came on from the bench last time out, though he may feature from the start against Wales given the team were so wasteful in front of goal against North Macedonia.

Wales vs Belgium Predicted Line-ups

  • Wales - Darlow; Williams, Rodon, Davies, Dasilva; Ampadu, Cullen; Brooks, Wilson, Johnson; Moore
  • Belgium - Courtois; Castagne, Debast, Theate, De Cuyper; Raskin, Onana; Saelemaekers, De Bruyne, Doku; Openda

Today's Football Fixtures

Wales vs Belgium Odds

Both sides have won three of their five qualifiers to date, with Wales 18/5 to win while Belgium are 4/6 to collect the three points. The visitors won a seven-goal thriller when they faced in June and it is 18/5 (implied probability of 21.7%) for Belgium and over 3.5 goals.

The stalemate is on offer at 11/4.

Both teams to score is valued at 4/5, which struck in the reverse fixture.

Wales vs Belgium Stats

  • Belgium and BTTS has struck in three of the last five meetings
  • Belgium have scored in both halves in three of their past four matches

Belgium and both teams to score @ 5/2

Wales did not give the best account of themselves in the 3-0 defeat at Wembley against England on Thursday but as it was a friendly it's fair to assume that they will deliver an improved performance against Belgium.

The Dragons may be the home side but they will find it to be a tough evening against the Red Devils, who have scored 17 goals in qualifying so far, including four against Wales in the reverse fixture back in June.

Belgium have a lot of individual quality to unleash in Cardiff and given how tight things are at the top of Group J, this fixture is considered a must-win for both teams. Wales' home record suggests it will be tough place for the Red Devils to visit, but I am expecting to conjure up a winning display in South Wales.

The selection is boosted by both teams to score, which has been a successful bet in each of the past six meetings between the two sides.

Belgium to score in both halves @ 8/5

Belgium's potency in front of goal in qualifying has been impressive and it is going to be a tough night for Wales to try and nullify the visitors' threat. The two teams delivered an entertaining tussle when they met earlier in the year as the Red Devils won 4-3, and I think we could see history repeat itself on Monday.

I like the 8/5 price for Belgium to find the net in both halves in Cardiff, having accomplished this in three of their five qualifiers to date, including the reverse fixture against the hosts.

Things are running effectively in the final third for Rudi Garcia's side and if Wales are as chaotic defensively as they were against England, Belgium's attacking players might be in for a very profitable evening in the Welsh capital.
