North Macedonia have top spot in their sights in Group J as they face Liechtenstein in their latest 2026 World Cup qualifier in Skopje on Sunday (17:00 KO). The hosts will expect to pick up a routine win at the Tose Proeski National Arena, with their visitors yet to pick up a point from their first four games.

Blagoja Milevski's team have only conceded twice in qualifying so far and picked up an impressive 1-1 draw when they faced group favourites Belgium in June. Another 1-1 draw against Wales in March shows North Macedonia will be a force to be reckoned with, and they should be able to rack up the goals on Sunday.

They have already beaten Liechtenstein 3-0 in qualifying, and their visitors have yet to score a goal in four games, while conceding 14 at the other end.

Liechtenstein come into the game on the back of a 6-0 defeat to Belgium, and North Macedonia should be able to give them a two-goal head start and still win.

Veteran forward Aleksandar Trajkovski has enjoyed himself while playing for his country of late, and he can add to his recent tally.

The 33-year-old scored in the friendly defeat to Saudi Arabia, meaning he has scored three goals in his last three starts for North Macedonia.

With Liechtenstein expected to concede multiple goals, Trajkovski should be licking his lips at the opportunities that potentially await him.
