Flamengo vs Chelsea Bet Builder Tips: 8/1 shot on tight affair

Both Flamengo and Chelsea secured 2-0 wins in their Group D openers at the Fifa Club World Cup, so the meeting between the two at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia should decide the group winner.
This one kicks off at 19:00 BST on DAZN, and below you can find my Flamengo vs Chelsea Bet Builder.

Under 2.5 goals
Despite some of the attacking quality on show, I’m going to pick out under 2.5 goals for this one based on the strength of both defences. Both teams kept clean sheets in their opening Club World Cup fixture and it’s not a rarity for Flamengo, as they have kept seven in their last eight games.
Meanwhile Chelsea kept Los Angeles down to an xG of just 1.03 and kept their fourth clean sheet in their last six outings. I believe this will be another tight game in Philadelphia, so under 2.5 goals is my first selection.
Flamengo vs Chelsea Bet Builder Stats
- Flamengo have kept seven clean sheets in their last eight games
- Chelsea have kept four clean sheets in their last six
- Moises Caicedo has been booked 13 times this season
Draw
I think both teams wouldn’t be too unhappy with a draw, and I think they are incredibly well matched on paper. Although Chelsea are the favourites due to their European quality and financial might, Flamengo will be backed by their impressive travelling fans and they will make this feel like a home game at the Maracana.
Given I feel this will be a tight encounter, a 1-1 draw or a 0-0 stalemate feels like the most likely outcome in my eyes. That will leave both teams on four points ahead of the final round of group games, and both will fancy their chances of qualifying with straightforward fixtures against Los Angeles and ES Tunis to come. We’re getting good value by backing parity in my eyes.
Moises Caicedo to get booked
Moises Caicedo is Chelsea’s destructive midfielder and he is a fiend for a yellow card. He’s picked up 13 yellows in total this season, committing 69 fouls in the Premier League, or an average of 1.85 per 90 minutes.
The Ecuadorian avoided a yellow against Los Angeles as three of Chelsea’s back four were booked instead, but for me that just means he is due a card having kept his powder dry in the United States of America so far. Flamengo’s number 10 Giorgian de Arrascaeta is a tricky customer, drawing 1.97 fouls per 90 this season. He opened the scoring for the Brazilians at the Club World Cup, so Caicedo is going to have his hands full throughout.
His card brings our Bet Builder to 8/1.
