Club World Cup Team Betting Predictions: Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich reclaimed the Bundesliga title this season in Vincent Kompany's first season in charge. It was the Belgian's first major trophy since becoming a manager and it will have whet his appetite for further success.
He can get some more this summer at the first edition of the new format of the Fifa Club World Cup. With the attacking players at his disposal, Die Roten are up there among the favourites to become world champions according to Betfred. Club World Cup Team Betting Predictions - Bayern Munich
Group C: Auckland City, Bayern Munich, Benfica, Boca Juniors
Fixtures: Bayern Munich vs Auckland City (17:00 BST, June 15), Bayern Munich vs Boca Juniors (02:00 BST, June 21), Benfica vs Bayern Munich (20:00 BST, June 24)
Bayern will relish the chance to take part in this tournament over the summer as it can help prepare them for another crack at the Uefa Champions League next term, having crashed out to this year's finalists Inter Milan in the semi-finals.
It was a missed opportunity for Die Roten as they would have had the chance to become European champions on home soil as the showpiece was held at the Allianz Arena. Having seen Inter's performance, they'd have probably thought they would have given Paris Saint-Germain a better contest but that's all in the past now.
Kompany and his players have reasserted their control on the Bundesliga and they will look to spread their influence worldwide. There's a strong group heading over to the USA for the tournament and that depth could prove key in a knockout tournament - as shown by their semi-final run in the UCL.
Bayern have not hung around when it comes to building for next season, although this tournament was also likely in mind. The German champions have sealed the signing of Germany international defender Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen, which looks to be a fine piece of business.
Injuries and consistency was an issue for Bayern's defence in 2024/25 and they have now bolstered their options with the capture of Tah.
Their array of attacking stars should help their cause with Harry Kane, Leroy Sane, Jamal Musiala and Michael Olise all at Kompany's disposal. Then when you factor in the likes of Kingsley Coman and Thomas Muller, you see Die Bayern are stacked in the final third and this can go a long way in a competition such as this.

Player to watch: Michael Olise
Kane is the obvious pick because he is Bayern's free-scoring forward, having bagged 38 goals across all competitions in 2024/25, and while I do think he could play a starring role for Die Roten in the USA over the course of this tournament, Olise is the one I am picking out as their player to watch.
The Frenchman has enjoyed a brilliant first season in Germany following the switch from Crystal Palace last summer. Olise ended the regular campaign with 17 goals and 21 assists across all competitions and he has been a joy to watch down the right flank.
With Bayern potentially coming up against some stubborn South American sides who will likely try to play compact against them, Olise's quality on the ball is going to be needed to unlock space in behind to set the likes of Kane away and I think this will be crucial for Die Roten venturing far at the Club World Cup.

Bayern Munich to reach the quarter-finals @ 8/13
On paper, it should be relatively smooth sailing for Bayern to get out of Group C and they should come out on top - but both Benfica and Boca Juniors have the potential to throw a spanner in the works in my opinion.
However, due to the depth in their squad I'm confident Bayern will top the group and they would then face the runners-up of Group D, which could potentially be Chelsea or Flamengo.
I'd back them to get past those two sides currently, but I think the quarter-finals is where it will get tricky for them. There's the potential of them facing Champions League winners PSG or the pragmatic Atletico Madrid. I think they'd prefer to come up against the Spanish side as I think PSG have demonstrated they are the best attacking team in the world right now.
I mentioned earlier that Bayern have experienced defensive problems in stages this term, and PSG's free-flowing football can carve them open in my opinion.
