Europa league ball scaled

This Europa League play-off tie is delicately-posed at 2-2 following last week's first leg in the Granite City, but Aberdeen will need to improve on Thursday's tricky trip to the Romanian capital (19:30 BST).

FCSB looked to be in control of the tie until a costly sending-off with Aberdeen levelling matters thanks to two late goals, but the Romanians could be too strong on home soil despite a patchy recent record.

Team news

Denis Alibec, Ionut Cercel, Risto Radunovic, and Joyskim Dawa all miss out for the home side through injury, while Juri Cisotti is suspended having been sent off in the first leg at Pittodrie.

Graham Shinnie is available for the Dons, which means they have a clean bill of health for this trip to Bucharest.

FCSB vs Aberdeen Odds

FCSB and Aberdeen's only meeting came in the first leg last week and it is 12/1 that the pair produce another thrilling 2-2 draw.

A home win for the Romanian's is 4/5 and the Dons are 16/5 to secure just their second victory of the new campaign. Both teams to score is 4/6 and over 2.5 goals is an 8/11 shot.

Football Odds

FCSB & both teams to score @ 12/5

FCSB raced into a 1-0 lead at Pittodrie last week and, despite Cisotti's 36th-minute red card, they managed to extend their lead just after the interval in the Granite City.

The Romanian are likely to be ruing having to play over half the match with just ten men as their advantage could likely have been even greater should they have been at full strength.

Aberdeen took advantage of having the extra man to level matters with a quarter of the match remaining, but they look in poor shape for this return following two straight league losses.

FCSB haven't been much better and they have won only two of their last 10 matches in all competitions, but this is a difficult place to travel and Aberdeen will have their work cut out to stay in the competition.

The Dons have drawn four of their last five European matches, but preference is for an edgy home win in which both teams score.

Daniel Birligea anytime goalscorer @ 6/4

Daniel Birligea scored the opener at Pittodrie last week and the Romanian forward looks a strong candidate to get on the scoresheet once again on Thursday.

Birligea has bagged four goals in seven matches this term and the wager is aided by the fact he is likely to be on penalty duty.

FCSB have scored at least two goals in three of their last four matches and the expectation is that they could do so once more this week.

Any goals that come their way could feature Birligea getting on the scoresheet at least once.
