Everton vs Manchester United Bet Builder Tips: 200/1 shot for early kick-off

David Moyes v Manchester United on a Saturday lunchtime? Sounds like a belting way to start your Saturday. The Scottish gaffer comes up against his former side at 12:30, with the game live on TNT Sports 1, looking to keep up Everton’s remarkable run of form.
The Toffees have now won four of their last five league games under Moyes, with the only game they failed to win a creditable 2-2 draw against Merseyside rivals Liverpool. Now they welcome an out-of-form Manchester United to town looking to plunge the Red Devils closer towards the bottom three. Below you can find my Everton vs Manchester United Bet Builder tips.

Everton to win
I can’t back against Everton right now. That form I’ve mentioned has not only been good, but well-deserved. They pushed Liverpool all the way and were worthy winners last time out against Crystal Palace. Moyes is just doing what Moyes does, and getting teams to win games in the Premier League.
West Ham United moved him on for the second time with some fake philosophy around ‘progression’ when really they would be far better off had he still been in charge. I tell you something else for free, if Moyes had been in charge of Manchester United for the entirety of this season, they certainly wouldn’t be sitting 15th in the table.
- Everton have won four of their last five PL matches
- Manchester United have lost three of their last four
He’s a wonderful manager and now back at his adopted home of Everton, is the perfect man to lead them into the new era that begins next season at Bramley Moore Dock. In the here and now though, he’s created a battling team that can get wins on the board. The Toffees sit fifth in the form table over the past six matches, while United are down in 14th, while Ruben Amorim has also lost three of his last four. I’ll go with the form book and back a home success.
Beto to score
Talking of players in form, how about Beto. The big Everton striker looks like a different player now that Moyes has arrived, and has now scored four goals in five appearances since the new gaffer came in. By contrast, it took him 42 games under Sean Dyche to hit the same tally.
- Beto has scored four goals in his last five appearances
- He took 42 games under Sean Dyche to hit that total
- Has scored first in his last two appearances
Moyes has slightly changed the way Beto is playing, getting him running at defenders with and without the ball, and now he looks like a real threat throughout the 90 minutes. Contrast that with United’s lack of focal point and you begin to see the extent of the problems running through that football club. Beto should be able to keep up his good form up against a squad lacking depth in all areas right now.
Alejandro Garnacho 1+ shot on target
Garnacho is extremely wasteful when it comes to converting chances, as proven at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday. However, he is relatively reliable when it comes to firing in shots this season. The Argentine should start in the absence of any other options on the left wing and he leads the way for shots on target from either team, with 23 to his name in 24 appearances.
- Garnacho has had nine shots on target in his last 10 PL games
- 23 shots on target in 24 games this season
- He had three shots on target v Tottenham
Averaging almost one a game, it makes sense to back him to test Jordan Pickford, even if it is a long-range effort that doesn’t trouble England’s number one. He looked lively against Spurs in particular, hitting three shots at goal, and I expect him to keep up that frequency at Goodison.
Harry Maguire and Jordan Pickford to get booked
Let’s end this mammoth Bet Builder with a couple of cards. Harry Maguire is the number one target for us given he will be up against the man in form, Beto. He is also set to start given United’s lack of depth, which saw Victor Lindelof as the only senior player on the bench last weekend.
Everton vs Manchester United Odds
Maguire has already picked up seven yellow cards this season in 18 appearances, most recently getting booked against Crystal Palace at home. I feel Everton will try to swarm United in this match and cause problems, with Maguire the most likely candidate to be caught out during the 90 minutes.
- Jordan Pickford has been booked more times than any other PL goalkeeper (6)
- Harry Maguire has seven yellows in 18 PL appearances
Meanwhile, I believe Everton will win this game, but I also feel it could be a tight encounter. If that is the case, I think there is real value in backing our mate Pickford to pick up a yellow. He loves to time waste, and if Everton are ahead, you better believe he will be pulling out all the stops to wind that clock down. He’s been booked a whopping six times this term, more than any other Premier League goalkeeper in 2024/25. He could find himself in the referee’s notebook once again.
