Everton vs leicester city

Everton and Leicester City will meet at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon (15:00), in what could be a crucial relegation six-pointer.

The Toffees are one place ahead of the Foxes in the standings heading into the weekend, and also have a game in hand over Ruud van Nistelrooy's side. Read on for my Everton vs Leicester City prediction as well as the latest team news.

Team News

Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Orel Mangala are both set for spells on the sidelines, after both picked up injuries last week against Brighton & Hove Albion.

David Moyes also revealed that Dwight McNeil will potentially need to undergo surgery for a knee injury, which rules him out for the foreseeable future.

As for the visitors, Mads Hermansen could return between the sticks after six weeks out, while Wilfred Ndidi resumed first-team training this week but Saturday's contest could come too soon.

Ricardo Pereira and Abdul Fatawu remain long-term absentees, and new signing Woyo Coulibaly could be handed his full debut after making a substitute cameo against Tottenham Hotspur last time out.

Everton vs Leicester Odds

Everton are 7/10 favourites for Saturday's game, giving them an implied win probability of 58.8%, with the draw available to back at 11/4 and a Leicester win is 9/2.

Beto tops the anytime goalscorer market at 2/1, while Jamie Vardy is shortest-priced for the visitors at 5/2.

Everton to win and under 2.5 goals @ 13/5

Moyes began his second spell in the Goodison dugout with a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa, but has since seen his side beat Spurs and Brighton to pull away from the Premier League danger zone.

Similarly, Leicester lifted spirits with a 2-1 win at Tottenham last Sunday but their form has been miserable prior to that, and a trip to Merseyside could see them return to losing ways this weekend.

Before that win, the Foxes had lost seven consecutive top-flight matches and they've not done well on their travels this campaign, losing seven of their 11 away assignments in the top flight.

The Toffees have looked sharper in attack in recent weeks, but they remain the second-lowest scorers in the Premier League this term with just 19 goals.

Given where both teams lie in the table, I can see a cagey affair playing out, but I'll opt for a low-scoring Everton win.

Iliman Ndiaye to score anytime @ 21/10

Iliman Ndiaye has been one of the main factors in Everton's recent turnaround in form.

The former Marseille forward has taken his time settling into proceedings on Merseyside, but he's starting to look the real deal for the Blues.

The 24-year-old has seven goals to his name this season, and the Toffees forward bagged the only goal of the game in the win over Brighton last week.

The Senegalese forward is the team's top scorer in all competitions, and he'll fancy his chances of adding to his tally against a Leicester defence that has shipped 49 goals in 23 games.
