England’s players know they must put in a better performance than they did against Denmark on Thursday night. That poor showing saw them fall to a 1-1 draw, which isn’t the worst result as it leaves them top of Group C heading into this final game against Slovenia, but they need all three points to guarantee top spot.

Slovenia are unbeaten so far and will prove to be difficult opponents, as they should have beaten Serbia, and only conceded in the 95th minute to drop two vital points. We’ve spoken to former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson for his Bet Builder tips ahead of England vs Slovenia.

England vs Slovenia Bet Builder Tips

  • England win
  • Jude Bellingham 1+ shot on target
  • Benjamin Sesko 1+ shot on target
  • 40 or more booking points

England win

I think England will win this game, and top the group. Harry Kane and Declan Rice have had fairly strong responses in the media to the criticism they received this week, and I expect to see some level of bite back on the pitch.

It looks as though Conor Gallagher will come in for Trent Alexander-Arnold in midfield which should give more energy, while England should have the attacking talent to beat this Slovenia team. Tactically, their 4-4-2 should be easier for England to press, and I hope for an improved showing.

Jude Bellingham 1+ shot on target

Jude Bellingham’s performance levels dropped off slightly against Denmark, but I expect him to return to his best against Slovenia. He is set to play in the number 10 role yet again behind Harry Kane, and I think he will want to put a marker down. He should be able to get one shot on target against Slovenia.

Euro 2024 Odds

Benjamin Sesko 1+ shot on target

The Slovenian player who has caught my eye has been RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko. He has had four attempts so far at Euro 2024 and I think he will be given a few opportunities in this game, given England’s slightly weak midfield area. Even if England are solid in their back four, there may be room for a long-range strike, and Sesko certainly isn’t shy in pulling the trigger.

40 or more booking points

Everything is on the line in this game, and as a result I think we will see at least four yellow cards. Gallagher has been the only England player to be booked so far which is a positive, but given he loves to snap into a tackle, I think he is a likely candidate for a yellow. I’m also expecting a more aggressive style from the Three Lions here, while Slovenia will have to make several tactical fouls to stop England flooding forwards. I can see this being a busy afternoon for the referee.
