Eintracht Frankfurt host Aberdeen in the Europa Conference League on Thursday afternoon and we’ve previewed this European tie for you.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Aberdeen Tips

  • Eintracht Frankfurt to win to nil – 7/10
  • Omar Marmoush to score – 10/11

Aberdeen (18/1) find themselves back in the Europa Conference League, after they were eliminated from the Europa League at the first stage, losing 5-3 on aggregate to Hacken of Sweden.

The Dons had their first appearance in this competition last season, beating their old friends Hacken and then Breiðablik, before being knocked out by Qarabag in the final play-off round.

Now, they are one stage better in the group stages and will be joined by 2022 Europa League winners, Eintracht Frankfurt (1/9), HJK of Finland and PAOK of Greece.

Aberdeen are seen as outsiders to progress past this group and any points they can pick up in Germany would be hugely beneficial to doing so. Barry Robson’s men  are winless in the Premiership this season, with only St Johnstone below them in the table.

Eintracht are unbeaten in the Bundesliga but are sat down in mid-table after three draws and a solitary win. Frankfurt are third favourites to lift the trophy in Athens in May and will be fancying a quick start here.

Team news:

New Frankfurt manager Dino Toppmöller has a full squad at his disposal, bar Kristijan Jakic, who is still struggling with a knee injury.

Robson is missing Rhys Williams (ankle) and Shayden Morris who has injured his hamstring.

Eintracht Frankfurt to win to nil – 7/10

Aberdeen are in turmoil right now, with fans starting to turn on Robson after a deeply unimpressive start to the season.

The Dons board brought in 12 new players in the summer but it’s safe to say they haven’t even begun to gel yet.

Frankfurt are also in a rebuilding phase after the loss of their former manager and some big name players but they should still have way too much for the Scottish side.

Omar Marmoush to score – 10/11

The Egyptian has played his entire career in Germany and has started to produce the goods from the left wing.

Marmoush has 16 goals in the last three years for Stuttgart and Wolfsburg and has already got off the mark for Frankfurt.
