Dundee United vs Aberdeen Prediction: Dons fancied for final-day success

Aberdeen may have missed out on finishing third in the Scottish Premiership but they will not want to relinquish the opportunity to secure fourth and the subsequent Europa League qualification position.
Dundee United can overtake the visitors with a win in this last game of the season but the Tangerines could also lose out on European football altogether if they lose and St Mirren get a result at Celtic. Saturday’s clash is scheduled to kick-off at 12:30 at Tannadice, so read on for my Dundee United vs Aberdeen predictions.

Team News
Dundee United’s Luca Stephenson and Ross Graham missed the game against Rangers on Wednesday through injury and this clash may come too quickly for the pair.
Aberdeen were without Gavin Molloy, Vicente Besuijen, Ester Sokler and Sivert Heltne Nilsen against Celtic and face a race against time to have any of those fit to play in this one.
To make matters worse, Alfie Dorrington was sent off against the Bhoys and will be suspended as a result.
Dundee United vs Aberdeen Odds
Aberdeen have been installed as 7/5 favourites for the victory, while Dundee United are on offer at 9/5 and the draw is available at 11/4.
Goals are expected, with over 2.5 available to back at 8/11, while both teams to score is priced at 4/7 and it is 13/8 for over 1.5 goals in the first half.
Aberdeen to win @ 13/10
Aberdeen put in a dismal performance against Celtic last time out but they are fancied to bounce back when facing a Dundee United team who are on a similarly poor run.
The Tangerines have struggled since the split, losing all four of their games and conceding 13 goals in the process.
Aberdeen may have suffered hammerings at the hands of the two Old Firm clubs in their last two matches, but they have generally been strong against the teams around them in recent times, so they should have enough to hold off these opponents to secure fourth in the table.
The visitors have won three of the last five head-to-heads and can round off their league season with a victory.

Kevin Nisbet anytime goalscorer @ 7/4
Dundee United’s Sam Dalby may be the highest goalscorer for either of these two teams this season but Aberdeen’s Kevin Nisbet has been equally as impressive.
The former Hibernian striker has struggled with injuries but has netted 11 times in 21 starts, including last time out against Celtic.
Side with Nisbet to get on the scoresheet once again in this crucial final day of the season encounter.
