Dundee vs Rangers Prediction: Gers can take the points at Dens Park

Rangers made hard work of claiming maximum points against Hearts on Sunday but they will hope to keep the pressure up on Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic by winning at Dundee on Wednesday.

The Gers were behind against Hearts with four minutes remaining but gained a lifeline with a late James Tavernier penalty and then had a goal three minutes into injury-time from Brazilian substitute Danilo to thank for picking up the three points.

Dundee are fifth in the table after gaining promotion from the Championship last season and they will be looking to build on a 2-0 win at Livingston at the weekend.

Zack Robinson, Scott Tiffoney and Lyall Cameron are all pushing to be involved on Wednesday night for Dundee but Josh Mulligan has been ruled out with a hernia issue.

For Rangers, the game looks to have come too early for midfielder Tom Lawrence, who has been missing from action since the Europa League victory over Real Betis in September.

He has returned to training while Nicolas Raskin is set to miss out having left Sunday’s victory over Hearts on a stretcher.
