Many onlookers will be surprised to see Luis Diaz outscoring Mohamed Salah so far this season, but the Colombian has been a real threat in the early stages of the season.

The 27-year-old is Liverpool’s top Premier League goalscorer, bagging five goals in six games to date.

Diaz’s best tally in a season came in 2023/24, when he scored eight goals in 32 starts, and he should easily eclipse that figure this term.

The former Porto man, who scored in a 1-1 home draw against Crystal Palace in 2022, looks to have a more attacking role this term and appears to be loving life under the new manager.

Diaz will be confident that he can find the net against a Palace team that have conceded nine goals in six league games so far.
