Crystal Palace vs Man Utd prediction betting tips Premier League 06:05:2024

Crystal Palace have enjoyed a mini-revival towards the end of this season, as Oliver Glasner’s style of play begins to take effect. Palace are now unbeaten in their last four games, including a 1-0 win at Anfield and two impressive home performances against West Ham and Newcastle United.

The next visitors to Selhurst Park are Manchester United, on Monday Night Football (20:00). Erik ten Hag’s side have been hit and miss of late, drawing at home to Burnley last time out. However, they can end their season with a trophy, as the FA Cup final lies in wait at the end of May. Below you can find my Crystal Palace vs Man United prediction, including teams news and match odds.

Crystal Palace vs Man United Betting Tips

  • Crystal Palace to win and BTTS @ 13/5
  • Palace to score over 3.5 goals @ 8/1

Team News

Crystal Palace should welcome Eberechi Eze back to the fold after he missed the 1-1 draw with Fulham with a knee issue. Meanwhile, Adam Wharton and Will Hughes are set to continue in central midfield, with the back three of Nathaniel Clyne, Joachim Andersen and Chris Richards also likely to remain the same after the recent upturn in form.

Scott McTominay only returned to Manchester United training on Saturday having missed out all week, so the Scot may have to settle for a place on the bench in the capital. Jonny Evans is back available to relieve their defensive woes, and he may partner Harry Maguire at the heart of the defence. There are some concerns surrounding Bruno Fernandes, who is a doubt for this game according to his manager.

Match Odds

Crystal Palace are 7/5 to win this game, giving them a win probability of 41% while Man United are available at 7/4. This encounter could well result in a draw, at 13/5, while BTTS is 4/9 and over 2.5 goals is 8/15

Crystal Palace to win and BTTS @ 13/5

This game should be a thriller, with goals at both ends. Palace have become an aggressive attacking side under Glasner, and have created plenty of chances of late, scoring five at home to West Ham, and two against Newcastle United. The home side have only failed to score once in their last nine matches, while both teams have scored in the last eight Manchester United games.

United are a fine attacking side, but concede chances at will, and under the lights at Selhurst Park, I think they could crumble. Both teams are likely to find the net, but especially if Bruno Fernandes is out, I think United could slip up. Palace are looking good, and may register another impressive home win in front of the cameras.

Palace to score over 3.5 goals @ 8/1

A bit of a long-shot, but one I feel offers excellent value. As we know, Manchester United give up an awful lot of chances - and only Sheffield United have conceded more shots in the Premier League this season. That is set to continue on Monday night, while interestingly, Crystal Palace have seen their chance creation sky-rocket under Glasner.

Even at Craven Cottage where they failed to win, they had 14 shots, and four on target. But their domination on home soil has been even more impressive. They had a whopping 20 shots, and seven on target in the 2-0 win over Newcastle, while those figures were 18 and seven in the 5-1 success over West Ham.

They shouldn’t have any trouble creating chances against this leaky Man Utd side, and there is no doubt that they have shown the attacking ability to tear teams apart. They will get at least five or six shots on target, so it’s not out of the question that they score four at Selhurst Park. At 8/1, it’s well worth backing.
