Coventry vs Norwich Prediction: Wright can bag another home brace

Coventry City will look to head into the international break with a win as they face Norwich City (12:30, Sky Sports+) at the CBS Arena. The Sky Blues earned a 1-0 win in the Carabao Cup in midweek to progress to the third round, while Norwich were hammered 4-0 by Crystal Palace in the same competition.
Now, as the transfer window finally comes to a close, we can turn our attention back to the Championship. Below you can find my Coventry vs Norwich prediction featuring betting tips and team news.
Team News
Coventry made a whole host of changes in midweek, as they flexed their strength in depth to get past Oxford. Oliver Dovin, Luis Binks, Milan van Ewijk, Haji Wright, Jack Rudoni, Tatsuhiro Sakamoto and Ellis Simms are all expected to come back into the XI, while Ben Sheaf made his long-awaited return from injury on Tuesday night. Whether the captain is fit enough to start remains to be seen, but he will provide the Sky Blues with a massive boost, even if he only comes off the bench again.
Meanwhile, Norwich also heavily rotated for their midweek defeat at Selhurst Park. Jack Stacey, Callum Doyle, Borja Sainz, Kenny McLean, Shane Duffy and Angus Gunn will all return to the XI at the CBS, while manager Johannes Hoff Thorup is still searching for a solution to the departures of Jon Rowe and Gabriel Sara.
Coventry are 5/6 to win this game, with Norwich priced at 13/5 to take all three points. A draw can be backed at 5/2, BTTS is 8/13 and Haji Wright is the favourite to score first at 5/1.
Coventry win and BTTS @ 12/5
Coventry have made a reasonable start to the season, progressing to the third round of the Carabao Cup with two 1-0 wins, one against Bristol City and one against Oxford. They’ve also taken four points from those two sides in the league after being beaten by Stoke on the opening day.
It feels like they are starting to find their rhythm, and I cannot overstate the importance of Sheaf. His return is going to elevate this side massively, and while they have struggled to gain control of the midfield in recent games, Sheaf should bring a level of calm and confidence to that area of the pitch. I still think there will be goals at both ends, given Coventry’s lack of consistency at the back and the quality of Josh Sargent, but believe the home side will come out on top.
Haji Wright to score two or more @ 10/1
Big odds for a big player to produce the goods. Wright took some time to settle last season, but has now established himself as a top player in this league. Now most dangerous playing on the left-wing after being signed as a striker, he looks ready to step things up this season, and even with Coventry’s attacking depth, looks to be the star man.
After a rest in midweek, he will be fresh and raring to go, and while Stacey is a decent right-back, Haji will fancy his chances on home soil. He scored a towering header and a 96th-minute winner in Cov’s last home league game, and the 10/1 on offer for him to bag another brace feels like good value, against a Norwich side that is yet to get going this term.
