Paul Robinson Bet Builder Tips

Coventry City take on Manchester United at Wembley on Sunday afternoon live on ITV (15:30) in an FA Cup semi-final, as both teams look to book their spot in next month's showpiece. The Sky Blues are looking to pull off an upset against Erik ten Hag's Red Devils, but Sunday's showdown also offers United the chance to save their season, with the possibility of lifting silverware next month.

With so much on the line in this fixture, we have called on the expertise of former England number one Paul Robinson to discover his Coventry vs Man United bet builder tips. Robbo's three-leg bet builder, using Betfred's #PickYourPunt feature, offers odds of 7/2.

Man United to win (90 mins)

As I've mentioned above, Sunday's semi-final against Coventry offers United the chance to potentially end a miserable campaign with some silverware.

After a third-place finish last term, I was expecting Ten Hag's side to kick on in the Premier League but they've gone backwards if anything, but delivering a second successive season with a trophy would certainly go down well with United fans.

The Red Devils ended Liverpool's quadruple hopes in the previous round with a dramatic win in extra time, but again, they've been poor in their four showings since, drawing three and tasting defeat against Chelsea.

United are favourites on Sunday, but it would be foolish to write Coventry off, given how Ten Hag's side have found ways to throw games away in recent weeks. Mark Robin's men managed 24 shots in their quarter-final win over Wolves, so I'm expecting the United backline to be tested on Sunday.

However, I'm backing the Red Devils to win, as despite their unpredictable nature, they still have enough quality to win the game inside 90 minutes.

Bruno Fernandes to score anytime (90 mins)

United's captain comes into this game in brilliant form, having scored four in his last three outings in the Premier League, and I believe the Portugal international tends to show up in big moments when his side needs him most.

The 29-year-old tends to be on penalty duty for United, which also makes him more appealing as an anytime goalscorer shout.

In addition, Fernandes has had two shots or more on target in each of his last seven games, which suggests he'll get chances to get on the scoresheet against a Coventry side that have shipped five goals in their last two league games.

Team corners - Each team over 2.5 (90 mins)

To round off my #PickYourPunt, I'm going for each team to have over 2.5 corners.

Coventry had six in their 3-0 defeat against Birmingham City last weekend, and given how many shots United tend to concede - their league matches have averaged 32 shots per game this term - that'll almost certainly result in plenty of corners for them.

United have had over 2.5 corners in three of their last four encounters, and their lack of control does tend to lead to entertaining, basketball-style contests, with plenty of attempts registered on goal, which is the aim of the game when it comes to backing corners.

Betfred are running their famed Double Delight & Hat-trick Heaven offer on this match, meaning that if a player scores first and then nets again, you will be paid at double the odds. If he grabs a hat-trick, you will be paid at treble the odds.
