Copenhagen and Manchester United meet again in Group A of the Champions League, after Andre Onana saved a last minute penalty to secure United a 1-0 win two weeks ago.

Now Erik ten Hag’s men travel to Denmark looking to leapfrog Galatasaray into second spot. Below we have previewed the match and come up with a couple of selections for you to consider.

Copenhagen vs Man Utd Tips

  • Copenhagen to win @ 16/5
  • Victor Claesson to score anytime @ 3/1

Team News

Manchester United welcomed Aaron wan-Bissaka back into the starting XI in the weekend win over Fulham, and he is expected to continue at right-back. Raphael Varane is now fit again, but was left on the bench at Craven Cottage as Jonny Evans and Harry Maguire kept a clean sheet. Meanwhile, Ten Hag is hopeful that Marcus Rashford will be fit after he sat that 1-0 win out, while Victor Lindelof could also return from illness.

For Copenhagen, they are likely to be without Mohamed Elyounoussi, who missed a third successive match this weekend. Meanwhile, they are definitely without Davit Khocholava (knee surgery), Birger Meling (muscle tear) and William Clem (broken foot) as they look to secure one of the biggest results in their history.

Match Odds

Copenhagen are 16/5 to take all three points on home soil, while Manchester United are the favourites at 7/10. A draw can be backed at 13/5, while BTTS is 4/6 and over 2.5 goals is also 4/6

Copenhagen to win @ 16/5

I simply cannot back Manchester United to win a game of football at the moment, especially at the price of 7/10. Even during their late win at Fulham, they looked pretty dour for the majority of the game, until Bruno Fernandes came up with a late winner. They’ve arguably not been the better team in any match they’ve played this season, and they are coming up against a Copenhagen side who should have got something at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils are lacking in confidence, but they also travel away to a Copenhagen side who have performed incredibly well this season. In their only home UCL game so far, they went toe-to-toe with Bayern Munich, going 1-0 up before losing 2-1. If they match that level of performance, they can beat a Manchester United side who don’t have much to offer at this moment in time.

Victor Claesson to score anytime @ 3/1

I’m confident in Copenhagen’s chances, and even more confident they can find the net at some point. If they are to find the net, it could well be through Victor Claesson, who came off the bench to score at the weekend as Jacob Neestrup attempted to rest some of his key stars for this Champions League clash.

They came from 2-1 down to win 4-2, and Claesson showed at Old Trafford just how threatening he can be. United may haven’t looked that solid defensively despite keeping two clean sheets in their last four games, and away from home against a top quality opposition, they could fall apart. The 3/1 on Classon to score anytime is a great price in my eyes.
