Bayern Munich head into matchday two of the Champions League seeking successive wins when they take on Danish outfit Copenhagen on Tuesday night (20:00) at Parken Stadium.

The hosts shared the spoils in their opening group game with Galatasaray, while the German giants beat Manchester United in a seven-goal thriller.

Copenhagen vs Bayern Munich Prediction

  • Bayern Munich to win to nil @ 19/20
  • Leroy Sane to score first @ 11/2

Team News

Copenhagen will be missing Nicolai Boilesen, Davit Khocholava, Kevin Diks and Andreas Cornelius through injury for the clash with the Bundesliga champions.

Elias Jelert will also be suspended for this clash after being sent off against Galatasaray.

As for the visitors, they will be once again without Manuel Neuer, Matthijs de Ligt, Tarek Buchmann, Gabriel Marusic and Serge Gnabry due to injuries.

Bayern Munich to win to nil @ 19/20

Copenhagen have struggled at the back in recent weeks, conceding at least two goals in three of their last four games, with the only exception being a 9-0 victory over Lyseng in the third round of the Danish Cup.

Meanwhile, Bayern have won each of their last 14 group stage games. Thomas Tuchel’s side are scoring for fun in the Bundesliga this season, but they currently find themselves in third place after two 2-2 draws against Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig in the last three matches.

However, Bayern are the masters of the Champions League group stage, going unbeaten in each of their last 35 group matches (W32, D3), so I’m backing them to win to nil here.

Leroy Sane to score first @ 11/2

Leroy Sane has been in fine goalscoring form for club and country in 2023/24, finding the back of the net in six of his last seven matches across all competitions.

After six Bundesliga appearances, the German forward is just three goals from matching his league tally from the whole of last season, and the former Manchester City forward has scored Bayern’s first goal in two of their previous four away matches this term.

Harry Kane has naturally stole the headlines for his brilliant start as a Bayern Munich player after his summer transfer from Spurs, but I was impressed with Sane’s performance against Man Utd on matchday one, and I suspect Copenhagen will have a hard time keeping him quiet here.
