AZ vs Noah Prediction: De Kaasboeren can gain revenge

Noah caused a shock by beating AZ Alkmaar 1-0 last week, but the Dutch side are expected to respond in the second leg of their Conference League play-off round tie on Thursday (20:00 GMT, TNT Sports 9). Hovhannes Hambardzumyan's 53rd-minute goal made the difference at the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium in Yerevan.
AZ have endured a frustrating season, but aside from last week, interim boss Lee-Roy Echteld looks to be getting more out of the team than predecessor Maarten Martens. They can overcome their deficit at the AFAS Stadion and go on to face either AEK Athens or Sparta Prague. Read on for my AZ vs Noah predictions...

Team News
AZ defender Wouter Goes was always going to miss out through suspension, but came off early in Sunday's 3-1 win at Sparta Rotterdam.
Jordy Clasie, Denso Kasius, Seiya Maikuma and Weslley Patati are also expected absentees, while Gustavo Sangare and Nathanael Saintini are doubts for Noah.
AZ vs Noah Predicted Lineups
- AZ: Zoet; Dijkstra, Penetra, De Wit, Chavez; Boogaard, Koopmeiners, Smit; Jensen, Parrott, Daal
- Noah: Ploshchadnyi; Hambardzumyan, Muradyan, Silva, Zolotic, Sualehe; Ferreira, Eteki, Oshima, Jakolis; Mulahusejnovic
AZ are the 3/10 favourites to win on Thursday, with the draw 4/1 and Noah 8/1 for a repeat victory.
Sandro Perkovic's side are 22/1 to record another 1-0 win, while a repeat of Alkmaar's 3-1 weekend win over Sparta is 17/2.
AZ Win & Both Teams to Score @ 9/5
Noah were resilient last Thursday, sacrificing 70% of the possession, but still topped the shot count 13-9.
This is the second straight season they have reached the Conference League proper, last year they could only finish in 31st place.
However, they finished 19th in the 2025-26 standings, becoming the first Armenian club to reach the knockout rounds of a European competition.
But, their tournament could end in Alkmaar, with De Kaasboeren unbeaten at home in Europe this season and 3-1 winners against Sparta on Sunday.
Last Thursday's loss will have hurt and they are backed to win, albeit their run of games without a clean sheet could be extended to seven.

Troy Parrott to score last goal @ 5/2
Troy Parrott endured a frustrating evening last Thursday, but could respond after netting against Sparta Rotterdam on Sunday to take his Eredivisie tally to 13 goals.
Parrott is yet to score in this season's Conference League and midfielder Sven Mijnans is their top scorer with three.
Mijnans is 15/8 to score at anytime, but Parrott is AZ's star man and may feel he owes his team after failing to hit the target with his two efforts at goal last week.
A player of the Irish striker's quality will be upset at failing to score from 16 attempts in this tournament and, with five of his last six goals coming after the hour mark, he rates as an intriguing last goalscorer option.
