Como welcome Udinese to Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia in Serie A on Monday (19:45), hoping to respond from the defeat they suffered here earlier in the week at the hands of AC Milan. I Lariani took the lead in that clash on the hour-mark, before two quick-fire goals from the Rossoneri snatched the victory.

Udinese come here after a goalless draw at home to Atalanta last weekend, so the visitors will have fresher legs than their hosts. Below you will find my Como vs Udinese prediction, aided by the latest match odds and team news.

Como vs Udinese Betting Tips

  • Draw @ 11/5
  • Both teams to score @ 4/5

Como vs Udinese Odds

Como have won two of their last three league matches on home soil, so their 11/10 price, which carries an implied probability of 47.6%, offers good value for Monday night. Udinese are 5/2 to come away with the three points, which they have managed in two of their last three trips in Serie A.

The draw is on offer at 11/5 (31.3%), and the visitors have experienced three stalemates in a row ahead of their clash with Como, so this is another alluring market.

Over 2.5 goals has struck in half of Udinese's last four away contests in the top flight, and this can be backed at a reflective 1/1 here.

Team News

Como boss Cesc Fabregas will welcome back influential midfielder Nico Paz on Monday, following the player's recovery from an ankle injury. A place in the squad should be assured but it looks probable that he will start the game from the bench.

Teenage winger Assane Diao netted on his debut against Milan in midweek, so he looks set to keep his place in attack for the hosts. Maxence Caqueret will be pushing for a recall to the midfield after impressing from the bench against I Rossoneri.

Former Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Patrick Cutrone is I Lariani's top scorer in Serie A with six goals. He has the faith of Fabregas which should keep him up top on Monday, while Andrea Belotti will be trying to push his way into contention.

Full-backs Alex Moreno (flexor) and Sergi Roberto (calf) remain out through injury but Federico Barba and Marco Sala have returned to training, so we could see them both involved against Udinese.

Lorenzo Lucca has struck seven goals in the league for the visitors, and he is available for selection here after serving a suspension. The Italy international is expected to be thrown straight back into the side, so we could see Alexis Sanchez dropped down to the bench as a result.

Oumar Selet, who arrived from Red Bull Salzburg at the start of the month, has helped I Bianconeri keep two clean sheets in as many games, so he will continue in the back three alongside Thomas Kristensen and Jaka Bijol.

Wing-back Kingsley Ehizibue picked up a thigh injury against Verona last week to become the latest Udinese player confined to the treatment room. Oier Zarraga, Lautaro Giannetti, Keinan Davis and first-choice goalkeeper Maduka Okoye are the other stars out of action at the moment.

Draw @ 11/5

Como may just be one point above the relegation zone, but at times they have looked like they have adjusted to the demands of the top flight. They have beaten title challengers Atalanta away from home, and the only other team to manage that this season is Napoli, who are also gunning for the scudetto.

Fabregas' side looked good against Milan earlier in the week but were ultimately outdone by the individual quality that the Rossoneri have in their squad, with the talented Rafael Leao bagging the winner.

Como had won their two previous clashes here against Lecce and Roma, so they will hope to get back into that rhythm against Udinese. The visitors are not to be underestimated, though.

They head here unbeaten in their last four league games and have conceded just three goals in the process. I Bianconeri have drawn their last three, and the two most recent showings against Atalanta and Verona ended 0-0.

Udinese are showing strength defensively, while they could do with a little bit more in the final third, and the return of Lucca should help them with that. I am expecting a tight affair here, so I think a draw seems the sensible avenue to go down for Monday's match.

Both teams to score @ 4/5

I do believe it could be an entertaining draw, though, so I am backing both teams to get on the scoresheet. Two of Como's last four home appearances in the top flight have produced goals at both ends, while BTTS has struck in five of the last six of Udinese's away matches in the league.

Lucca's return should help the visitors get back amongst the goals, while Cutrone has been a bright spark for Como throughout the campaign. Both could play important roles for their respective sides in this fixture, and I wouldn't be surprised to see one, if not both, find the back of the net here.
