Chelsea vs west ham

Graham Potter returns to his old stomping ground on Monday night (20:00, live on Sky Sports Main Event) as his West Ham United side travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea.

Enzo Maresca's side had briefly been considered title challengers but have since dropped down to sixth place, while the Hammers head into the London derby with just one win to their name in the last six matches in all competitions. Read on for my Chelsea vs West Ham prediction, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Team News

Maresca has confirmed that he will be without Mykhaylo Mudryk, Omari Kellyman, Romeo Lavia, Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile.

As for the Irons, Jarrod Bowen is back in training but Monday's clash could come too soon for the England international, and the same goes for Lucas Paqueta, who continues to recover from a groin injury.

Crysencio Summerville, Michail Antonio, Niclas Fullkrug and Jean-Clair Todibo remain in the treatment room, however Dinos Mavropanos is back from suspension.

Chelsea vs West Ham Odds

Chelsea are 4/11 to claim all three points, giving them an implied win probability of 73.3%, with the draw priced up at 9/2 and a West Ham win is available at 15/2.

Cole Palmer leads to the anytime goalscorer market at 5/6, followed by Nicolas Jackson at 21/20.

Chelsea to win and both teams to score - yes @ 11/8

As mentioned in the introduction, Chelsea were briefly considered the closet challengers to Liverpool for the Premier League title.

However, they've since dropped down to sixth in the standings after draws with Crystal Palace and Bournemouth, followed by last weekend's defeat at the Etihad against Manchester City.

The Blues have taken just five points from a possible 15 on offer and will be desperate to get back to winning ways in a bid to return to the Champions League spots.

West Ham could be the ideal opponent as the Hammers have been beaten in six of their seven meetings with the top six, including a 3-0 loss at home to Chelsea earlier this season. In addition, the Blues have won their last two Premier League meetings with West Ham by an aggregate score of 8-0.

I do think the Hammers can get on the scoresheet here as Chelsea have conceded in 10 of their 11 home league games this term.

Nicolas Jackson to score anytime @ 21/20

Jackson's goals have dried up in recent weeks, but the Chelsea striker has a fantastic record against West Ham, netting a brace in both meetings during 2024.

The 23-year-old has racked up 2.8 xG in his last seven appearances, suggesting the forward continues to get chances despite not scoring since the 2-1 win over Brentford on December 15.

Jackson created Chelsea's opener at the Etihad last weekend and had a couple of shots on target, so I can see him ending his goal drought here against a West Ham side that have only kept one clean sheet in their last eight competitive games.
