Chelsea host Manchester City in arguably the biggest game of the Premier League weekend and we’ve put together an interesting looking bet builder to try for the big match.

Chelsea vs Man City Bet Builder Tips:

  • Over 2.5 Man City goals
  • BTTS No
  • Haaland to score
  • Nicolas Jackson to be booked

Team News

Carney Chukwuemeka and Trevoh Chalaboh have both suffered setbacks in their respective recoveries, while summer signing Christopher Nkunku is likely to return after the international break. Romeo Lavia is getting closer to a return but Ben Chilwell and Wesley Fofana will be out for the foreseeable future.

For Manchester City, the big concern is over John Stones. Having missed the first few months of the season, he was injured in the Champions League and is now expected to be out for some time. Kevin De Bruyne is ahead of schedule in his recovery but will still be out for a few more weeks, while Manuel Akanji is suffering from a back issue.

Match Odds

Chelsea are priced at 18/5 to win this match on home soil, while Manchester City are the favourites at 8/11. A draw is available at 11/4, BTTS is 8/11 and over 2.5 goals is the same price.

Over 2.5 goals Man City goals

Manchester City have been in excellent goalscoring form recently. They’ve scored at least three goals in each of their last four matches. Twice against Young Boys, once against Manchester United and they hit six at home to Bournemouth in their last league outing. With this level of goalscoring form and Chelsea poor home run, I believe City can score three or four at Stamford Bridge.

BTTS No

Since the Champions League final defeat in 2021, City have faced Chelsea six times. Over those six matches, they won every time, and did not concede a single goal. That is complete and utter domination from Pep Guardiola, and I expect more of the same here. Chelsea may have scored four last time out, but they are likely to struggle against eleven men, and an elite City outfit.

Haaland to score

Erling Haaland hasn’t hit the headlines in the same way he did last term, but he has already scored 15 goals this season. He’s hit 11 in 11 in the Premier League and won’t be happy that he failed to score as his teammates scored six at home to Bouremouth. He could take his anger out on Chelsea here in a game I expect the away side to dominate.

Nicolas Jackson to be booked

The Chelsea striker, fresh off scoring a hat-trick against Spurs, will want to continue his good form in front of goal. But I believe Chelsea’s most booked player this season will be left frustrated, and as a result, I think he is more likely to pick up a booking than score. He’s already picked up six yellows this term, twice the amount of his nearest teammate and that ill-discipline could see Anthony Taylor go to his pocket.
