Leicester vs Norwich Prediction: Big price on big centre-back to score

Leicester City look like they have turned a corner since Gary Rowett came in as manager, but there’s still plenty of work for the Foxes to do if they are going to be playing Championship football next season.
A home game against Norwich (12:30 GMT, Sky Sports Main Event) will be a tough test, as the home side strive to climb out of the bottom three. Find my Leicester vs Norwich prediction featuring team news and match odds.

Team News
Rowett had positive news on Jamaal Lascelles and Jordan James in his pre-match press conference, saying: “Jamaal [and] Jordan trained today. It’s assessing those players tomorrow, making good, sensible decisions.
“We’re looking at Saturday but we’re also looking at the games after that. We want players available for long periods, not just a game or two, to help out.”
He also confirmed Abdul Fatawu will be fit to start which comes as a boost, and he should strengthen their attack having been named on the bench against Middlesbrough.
Norwich are struggling with numbers at the top end of the pitch, with Mohamed Toure coming off injured after just nine minutes in midweek. With Josh Sargent still banished, and Jovon Makama injured, it means Mathias Kvistgaarden will lead the line as he continues to make his way back to fitness.
Edmond Paris-Magoma started and scored in midweek before being replaced by Anis Ben Slimane at half-time so it will be interesting to see which of the two start in the number 10 role here.

Leicester vs Norwich Stats
- Both teams to score has landed in the last two Leicester games
- Jakov Medic went up front for the last half an hour in midweek for Norwich
Both teams to score @ 8/13
I think we’ve got a good chance of both teams getting on the scoresheet in this one, based on what we’ve seen from Leicester so far under Rowett. We know he usually focuses on defensive solidity to get teams out of danger, but there is no doubt that they have looked more dangerous going forward recently.
A 2-2 draw at Stoke and a 1-1 at Boro prove that they can score goals, with the return of Fatawu certainly set to help them out. Meanwhile, Norwich have seen both teams score in two of their last three, and although they have a striker shortage, I think they’ve got plenty of talent to find the net at the King Power.

Jakov Medic to score last @ 28/1
I’ve gone for it here - a massive price which I think offers excellent value for this match only. You see, Kvistgaarden should start up front for Norwich, but he only lasted 54 minutes in midweek after coming off the bench - and is probably only going to be able to do 60-70 minutes here.
With no other options, and liking his centre forward to provide a target - Clement shoved his big centre-back up top for half an hour. The fans love him, and I expect him to get a bit of gametime as the number nine towards the game, and that makes the 28/1 for him to score the last goal of the game - a more generous price than it should be.
