Blackburn Rovers are fighting to secure their Championship status. They sit four points above the drop zone and their next test is a trip to St. Andrew's on Friday to face Birmingham City (15:00 BST, Sky Sports), who delivered a flat performance in their defeat at Derby County last time out.

Team News
Alex Cochrane (ankle) and Kai Wagner (shoulder) remain sidelined for Birmingham, so Ethan Laird may fill in at left-back again.
Chris Davies is expected to make a number of changes after the pitiful showing at Pride Park before the international break, so Jhon Solis might be restored to the midfield and Patrick Roberts could be deployed on the right flank.
Blackburn are without the services of Aynsley Pears, Augustus Kargbo, Lewis Miller, Sondre Tronstad, Ryan Hedges and Andri Gudjohnsen due to injury.
Birmingham vs Blackburn Predicted Lineups
- Birmingham: Beadle; Iwata, Neumann, Klarer, Laird; Solis, Paik; Roberts, Ducksch, Gray; Stansfield
- Blackburn: Toth; Atcheson, McLoughlin, Cashin; Alebiosu, Gardner-Hickman, Forshaw, Ribeiro; Morishita, Cantwell; Jorgensen
Birmingham are down as the 4/5 favourites given their strong home record (W9 D8 L2) but they have only won just one of their past six outings in the Championship.
The draw is on offer at 5/2 and Blackburn have posted two stalemates in their previous four matches in the league. Rovers are 18/5 to win successive away games, having downed promotion-chasing Millwall on March 14.
Each of Birmingham's last four fixtures in the second tier have gone under 2.5 goals, which is priced at 4/6 for Friday.
Birmingham vs Blackburn Stats
- 6 of Marvin Ducksch's 10 league goals this season have come at home
- Ducksch has scored in 2 of the previous 3 fixtures at St. Andrew's
- Both teams have scored in 4 of Blackburn's last 6 away trips in the Championship
Anytime Goalscorer - Marvin Ducksch @ 7/4
Marvin Ducksch is considered the best finisher in Birmingham's squad. He's their top scorer with 10 goals in 30 appearances. The German attacker has often been at his best when playing on home turf, with six of his strikes registering in B9.
The former Werder Bremen man heads into this clash having found the net in two of the previous three Championship games at St. Andrew's, and I believe he will keep his form ticking over on Friday.

Both Teams To Score - Yes @ 11/10
Given the form of both sides, I am unsure of how this match will play out. One thing I think we can count on, though, is goals at both ends. Neither defence instils me with confidence and so there should be chances on offer to both sets of attackers.
BTTS - Yes has struck in four of Rovers' past 6 away contests in the second tier, including their latest trip to Millwall. Additionally, this has been a winning selection in 10 of Birmingham's last 12 fixtures at St. Andrew's in the Championship.
