The Championship is back with a full weekend of fixtures as all 24 clubs attempt to enter the international break with three all-important points. This weekend the fixture list has been relatively kind to us on paper, meaning we’ve picked out five teams that should be victorious, and put together a 19/1 fivefold for you to consider.

Championship Accumulator Tips:

  • Birmingham City to beat Millwall at 11/8
  • Norwich City to beat Rotherham United at 8/11
  • Leeds United to beat Sheffield Wednesday at 4/9
  • Stoke City to beat Preston North End at 19/20
  • West Bromwich Albion to beat Huddersfield Town at 4/6

Championship fivefold pays 19/1

Birmingham City to beat Millwall

Birmingham are flying this season. They’ve won their last three league games on the bounce, are playing some great football under John Eustace and have strengthened their squad massively. They are now top ten contenders and the feeling around the club is incredibly positive.

By contrast, Millwall fans are never more than five minutes away from shouting ‘Gary Rowett out’ and even a 1-0 win over Stoke last time out won’t have been enough to placate them. Positivity meets negativity, and it all points to a home win.

Norwich City to beat Rotherham United

Norwich are looking like a fine side this season and are yet to lose in any competition so far. The only time they dropped points was away at Southampton where the hosts needed a controversial late penalty to nick a point. This weekend they face Rotherham United, and despite being away from home, they should blow them away.

Leeds United to beat Sheffield Wednesday

Another squad that is getting better and better, under a fine manager in Daniel Farke. Leeds are title contenders this term, and at home against a Sheffield Wednesday side that is yet to pick up a point so far this term, are an obvious pick by all accounts. The 4/9 on offer is short, but the home side should win this game.

Stoke City to beat Preston North End

Preston are unbeaten in four matches so far this term, and edged past Swansea last time out, so they will be tough opponents for Stoke this weekend. However, on paper, Stoke’s squad is far superior and with Alex Neil at the helm, they will be a force to be reckoned with. As a result, the 19/20 on offer for Stoke to win is a price worth backing.

West Bromwich Albion to beat Huddersfield Town

Another strong side at home to a weaker opposition. The Championship has four or five weak sides this season, and the rest are all capable of winning plenty of football matches. Fortunately for us, Huddersfield having conceded four at home to Norwich, are one of the weak ones. WBA should be able to breeze past them on Saturday afternoon, as Carlos Corberan has a seriously talented squad at his disposal.
