Qarabag vs Copenhagen Prediction: Andrade out for more in Azerbaijan

FK Qarabag made a stunning start to the league phase of the 2025/26 Uefa Champions League, coming from two goals down to beat Benfica 3-2 in Lisbon on September 16. Next up for the Azerbaijani side is a home game against FC Copenhagen, who were leading Bayer Leverkusen on MD1 until second-half injury time, when Pantelis Hatzidiakos put through his own net to level the scores at 2-2 in Denmark.
Below are my Qarabag vs Copenhagen predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds, ahead of Wednesday's meeting at the Tofiq Bahramov Stadium in Baku (17:45 BST, TNT Sports 3).

Team News
Marko Jankovic (unspecified) and Joni Montiel (thigh) are ruled out for Qarabag, with the latter yet to make an appearance for his new club following his summer switch from Rayo Vallecano.
Leandro Andrade and Camilo Duran, who scored Qarabag's first and second goal, respectively, against Benfica, should start in attack again, but Oleksii Kashchuk, who struck the winner off the bench in the Portuguese capital, might have to reprise his role as super sub.
As for Copenhagen, Magnus Mattsson (knee), Jonathan Moalem (hip), Andreas Cornelius (unspecified) and Oliver Hojer (unspecified) miss out.
Youssoufa Moukoko, who started Copenhagen's league phase stalemate with Leverkusen but began Saturday's 2-1 win at Sonderjyske on the bench, will hope to be restored to the starting XI in Baku.
Qarabag vs Copenhagen Predicted Lineups
- Qarabag - Kochalski; Cafarquliyev, Mustafazada, Medina, Silva; Bicalho, Borges; Zoubir, Andrade, Kaschuk; Duran
- Copenhagen - Kotarski; Lopez, Hatzidiakos, Pereira, Huescas; Silva, Delaney, Lerager, Larsson; Moukoko, Elyounoussi
Qarabag, chasing a fourth consecutive victory across all competitions, are 7/4 to pick up three points on Wednesday, implying a 36.4% probability of success. That makes the Azerbaijani side narrow underdogs behind Copenhagen, who are 8/5, or a 38.5% chance, to triumph.
The draw is priced at 12/5, both teams to score at 8/13, and over 2.5 total goals at 4/5.
Qarabag vs Copenhagen Stats
- Leandro Andrade (QAR) has scored four UCL goals this season
- Andrade notched Qarabag's first against Benfica on MD1
- Kevin Medina (QAR) averages a card every 3.15 games in Uefa competition
Anytime Goalscorer - Leandro Andrade (QAR) @ 9/4
Cape Verde international Andrade has been a regular source of goals for Qarabag since his move from Cherno More in January 2022, particularly in the last couple of seasons.
In the 2023/24 campaign, he struck 15 times, which included four strikes in the Uefa Europa League.
Then, in 2024/25, the Portuguese-born attacking midfielder went two better, although only two of his 17 goals came in European competition.
The 26-year-old has already notched four times this term, and all four efforts have come in the Champions League; three in the qualifying rounds, and one in Qarabag's opening league phase victory over Benfica.
Andrade, then, looks good value at 9/4 to score anytime on Wednesday, at home to a Copenhagen side that has shipped multiple goals in three of their last five matches, including in their league phase draw with Leverkusen.

Player to Receive a Card - Kevin Medina (QAR) @ 9/4
Qarabag centre-back Kevin Medina has been with the club since July 2020 and has been a regular in referee notebooks, both in Azerbaijan and abroad.
The 32-year-old has been shown 17 yellows and two reds in 60 European appearances with Qarabag, averaging a card every 3.15 games.
He was shown a yellow in half (three) of his Uefa Europa League outings in 2024/25, and has already been cautioned twice in this season's Champions League - both in qualifiers.
Medina made one foul against Benfica in Qarabag's first league phase game, and the Colombian could be forced into at least a couple on Wednesday.
Copenhagen forward Mohamed Elyounoussi, upended, on average, 1.2 times per game in last season's Danish Superliga, drew Leverkusen defender Lucas Vazquez into a yellow-card challenge two weeks ago in Denmark, where he was fouled twice in total.
