Team News

Bodo/Glimt are likely to be without Haitam Aleesami (hamstring) and Ola Brynhildsen (knee) on Tuesday.

Ole Blomberg, Brede Moe and Andreas Helmersen, all of whom came on at the start of the second half on Saturday as the Norwegian champions lost 3-1 at Valerenga, could all earn starts against Monaco.

Football Odds

The visitors are still missing Paul Pogba (ankle), who is one of several players set to miss the trip to Norway.

Lukas Hradecky (knee), Eric Dier, Vanderson, Christian Mawissa (all hamstring), Denis Zakaria (groin), Krepin Diatta (eye) and Lamine Camara (ankle) are all likely to be sidelined, too.

Bodo/Glimt vs Monaco Predicted Lineups

  • Bodo/Glimt: Haikin; Sjovold, Bjortuft, Nielsen, Maatta; Klynge, Berg, Fet; Auklend, Helmersen, Hauge
  • Monaco: Kohn; Kehrer, Salisu, Henrique; Diatta, Teze, Golovin, Ouattara; Akliouche, Minamino; Balogun

Bodo/Glimt vs Monaco Odds

Glimt have failed to win any of their first three league phase games, drawing 2-2 with Slavia Prague (A) and Tottenham Hotspur (H) before losing 3-1 at Galatasaray last time out. Kjetil Knutsen's side are slight favourites to win on Tuesday, though, with odds of 7/5 implying a 41.7% probability of success, while Monaco are 7/4, or a 36.4% chance, to secure their first victory of this stage, having followed up a 4-1 defeat at Club Brugge with draws at home against Manchester City (2-2) and Spurs (0-0).

A third draw in four league phase matches for both is priced at 11/4, while both teams to score, a winning selection in all three of Glimt's European contests since the start of September, is available at 4/9.

Bodo/Glimt vs Monaco Stats

  • BOD & MON have drawn two of their first three UCL league phase games
  • Minamino (MON) has shot five times across two UCL apps this term
  • Akliouche (MON) is averaging 1.7 shots on target per game in 25/26 UCL

Match Result - Draw @ 11/4

Both sides have drawn two of their opening three league phase games, so backing a draw, something I'm usually opposed to, does feel like a sensible move in this case.

On the one hand, you have to consider the strong home form of Glimt, who are unbeaten in their last nine matches at Aspryma Stadion (W7, D2) and managed to hold Uefa Europa League winners Spurs to a 2-2 draw in this competition in September. In fact, Knutsen will have felt aggrieved not to have claimed all three points, as his side were 2-0 ahead until Micky van de Ven pulled one back in the 68th minute.

Today's Football Fixtures

So, Glimt are a tough nut to crack on home soil, and their next opponents, Monaco, are also winless in the league phase and are arriving in Norway off the back of a 1-0 home defeat in Ligue 1 to newly-promoted Paris FC, so confidence is unlikely to be sky high, and there are several key players sidelined due to injury.

Still, I think there is enough quality in Monaco's ranks to get something here, so I'm taking the draw at 11/4. If you want more bang for your buck, you could back a draw and both teams to score at 3/1, with BTTS-Yes landing in 12 of Glimt's last 13 games.

Bet Builder - Takumi Minamo (MON) 2+ Shots, Maghnes Akliouche (MON) 1+ Shots on Target @ 23/10

Monaco's Takumi Minamino played the duration of Monaco's first league phase game, shooting twice in a 4-1 loss at Club Brugge. In his second and most recent appearance in the Champions League, last month's goalless draw against Spurs, he was only brought on in the 70th minute, but recorded three efforts at goal, and his shots per game average in the competition last season was 1.4.

In Ligue 1 this term, the Japan international is averaging 1.3 shots per game, and he's shot twice in each of his last two starts in the French top flight.

The 30-year-old's teammate, Maghnes Akliouche, has scored three times this season, his latest strike coming in a 5-3 win at FC Nantes on October 29.

The Frenchman is yet to notch in the 2025/26 Champions League, but he's averaging 1.7 shots on target per game, having registered two against Club Brugge, one against Man City, and two against Spurs.

Across all competitions, the 23-year-old has recorded a shot on target in his last four matches, and is fancied to at least test Nikita Haikin in the Glimt goal on Tuesday.
