I think I can safely say we are all strapped in to see what the second leg of the Uefa Champions League play-off between Atletico Madrid and Club Brugge provides as they face one another at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano on Tuesday (17:45 GMT, TNT Sports 3).

Team News

Atleti duo Nico Gonzalez and Pablo Barrios are expected to miss out here owing to muscle injuries. Ademola Lookman has had a bright start to life with the Rojiblancos and is likely to feature again in attack.

Antoine Griezmann could drop down to the bench in favour of Alexander Sorloth, who bagged a brace here on Saturday against Espanyol in La Liga.

Lynnt Audoor is unlikely to feature for Club Brugge due to a muscle issue, while Dani van den Heuvel is doubtful because of a knock.

I wouldn't be too worried if I were an Atleti supporter as they have only been beaten at the Metropolitano twice across all competitions this term. They also head into this fixture having won their previous two home appearances in all competitions, one of which was a 4-0 thrashing of Barcelona in the Copa del Rey.

Diego Simeone and his players will look to channel that performance into this second leg and with the quality within their ranks, the hosts should have more than enough to progress to the round of 16.

Lookman is already looking to have been a shrewd bit of business for Atleti in the winter transfer window. The former Atalanta man has hit the ground running in red and white, having bagged four goals in six appearances in all competitions for his new club.

After scoring in the first leg in Belgium, he followed up with a goal in the weekend victory over Espanyol, so the winger should be brimming with confidence heading into Tuesday. The Nigerian is someone who can make things happen and I think 5/4 (implied probability of 44.4%) is an excellent price for him to find the net given his current form.
