Aston Villa vs Juventus Bet Builder Tips: McGinn shot on target in 17/2 punt

Aston Villa have enjoyed a strong start in the Uefa Champions League but they fell to their first defeat last time out at Club Brugge. Next up for Unai Emery's side is Juventus on Wednesday (20:00, TNT Sports 2), with another high-profile opponent making the trip to Villa Park.
The Old Lady are winless in their last two European encounters but they will be hoping to capitalise against a Villa side that have looked shaky in the past few weeks. Below you will find my Aston Villa vs Juventus bet builder tips, which pay out at 17/2.

Draw
Villa have had a rough couple of weeks and their last win in all competitions came at home to Bologna over a month ago. Since then, they've lost four and drawn two. They're going through a rough patch and teams are finding it easy to breach their defence at the moment, which is something Emery needs to rectify.
He will be thankful that his team got off to a flying start in the Champions League with maximum points from their first three matches. This included an impressive 1-0 victory over Bayern Munich in B6, so they will be hoping that they can take down another European giant on home soil.
I'm not overly confident that they can do that on this occasion because their current problems have been going on for weeks. Juve are in need of a turnaround in the Champions League, so they will be desperate to get a result in the West Midlands as they bid to move up the table and into the automatic qualification spots.
The Old Lady have doubts surrounding striker Dusan Vlahovic, who picked up a knock with Serbia earlier this month, while Arkadiusz Milik is out of action until 2025. Villa will be hoping this can work in their favour and help them record another impressive result in Europe.
Juve are quite a tough side to break down, though, which does not bode well for a side who have lost their way of late. That being said, I think the home advantage can help them out, while Juve haven't been convincing enough so far in the Champions League. I think it is fair to cover a draw for this contest as a result.
Both teams to score
Next up in this bet builder is both teams to score. As I've mentioned above, Villa are proving easy to score against at the moment, which should provide Juve with joy, seeing as they are potentially lacking two of their striking options.
The Villans have conceded 12 goals in their last six outings in all competitions and BTTS has been a winning selection in four of them. They are yet to concede a goal at home in Europe, but current form suggests that this will change on Wednesday.
Goals have been scored at both ends in three of Juventus' four Champions League fixtures so far, so I am expecting this trend to continue for them when they head to Villa Park.
Under 4.5 goals
As I think this game will end in a draw, I think the best both these sides can do at the moment is score two apiece, which is why I like the look of under 4.5 goals for Wednesday. It has landed in three of Juve's European clashes to date, while in all four of the hosts' fixtures.
With the visitors potentially missing their main number nine at Villa Park, their goal threat will be hampered, which I think would bode well for this selection delivering yet again.
John McGinn 1+ shots on target
This bet builder is rounded off with John McGinn to have a shot on target. The Aston Villa man has already opened his Champions League account with a goal in the last home match against Bologna, while he awaits to get off the mark in the Premier League.
The central midfielder has been deployed on the flanks more often than not this season, but it seems to allow him to occupy more attacking spaces. McGinn returned to Villa off the back of scoring twice for Scotland over the recent international break, so he will be itching to translate that form into his club performances.
The Scotsman has registered six attempts at goal in Europe in three appearances, with three of them being on target. That's why I fancy him to test goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio on Wednesday night.
