Celtic vs Rangers Bet Builder Tips: Back the Bhoys to deliver again at Hampden

Celtic and Rangers faced off for the first time this season on September 1 when the Bhoys ran riot at Celtic Park, winning 3-0 to extend their lead over the Gers at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
The Glasgow clubs meet again this Sunday (15:30, Premier Sports Player) but this time in the League Cup final at Hampden Park and ahead of the game, you can check out my Celtic vs Rangers Bet Builder tips below.

Half-time/Full-time - Draw/Celtic
Celtic raced into a 17th-minute lead in September's meeting and were two up by half-time, but last season's Scottish Cup final at Hampden in May was a different story as the scores were goalless heading into the interval, and it wasn't until the 90th minute that Adam Idah popped up with the winner for Brendan Rodgers' side.
Things were also close in the first half of the 2023 League Cup final, which Celtic won 2-1, with Kyogo Furuhashi only opening the scoring in the 44th minute, while it was goalless at half-time in the 2019 edition before Christopher Jullien struck a 60th-minute winner to break Rangers hearts at Hampden.
Finals can often produce tepid starts and we may see both sides adopt a bit more caution than usual in the beginning on Sunday, so I think there's a good chance there will be nothing separating the teams at half-time.
However, I expect Premiership leaders Celtic, who are currently 11 points ahead of Philippe Clement's charges in the league, to show their class in the second half and win without the need for extra time, as they did in the Scottish Cup final earlier this year.
Rangers haven't beaten Celtic since May 2023, with the Bhoys winning five of the next six.
Anytime Goalscorer - Adam Idah (CEL)
Idah was the hero at Hampden in May as he came off the bench to win the cup for the Hoops, and I'm backing the Republic of Ireland striker to do the business again this weekend.
It remains to be seen whether he starts on Sunday with Kyogo generally preferred up top, and the Japanese forward did score in Celtic's 3-0 win over the Gers in September.
However, Kyogo hasn't scored in his last three starts, and even if Idah doesn't get the nod from the beginning, we saw earlier this year how effective he can be coming on later in the game.
Total Goals - Under 3.5
There have been under 3.5 total goals in nine of the last 10 head-to-heads between Celtic and Rangers, including all three since the start of May, while there have been three of fewer goals scored in the last 11 League Cup finals, so history suggests there won't be a glut of goals at Hampden on Sunday.
