Celtic will aim to maintain their unbeaten start to the Scottish Premiership season when they welcome Kilmarnock to Celtic Park on Saturday afternoon (15:00).

The hosts have won six and drawn one of their opening seven matches, while the visitors are currently languishing just outside the relegation zone.

Celtic vs Kilmarnock Prediction

  • Both teams to score (yes) @ EVS
  • Kyogo Furuhashi to score first @ 3/1

Team News

Cameron Carter-Vickers made his return for the hosts in the midweek Champions League clash against Lazio, but the Hoops do have a lengthy injury list to contend with, that includes the likes of Liel Abada, Marco Tilio, James McCarthy and Stephen Welsh.

Meanwhile, Kyle Magennis is a doubt for the visitors this weekend, while there are question marks over the fitness of Liam Donnelly, so he could miss out here.

Both teams to score (yes) @ EVS

Celtic will be seeking revenge here, after losing to Kilmarnock in the Scottish League Cup second round earlier on in the campaign.

However, I do think Killie will fancy their chances here, as they have scored in all but one league game so far this season and this Celtic team does give away chances.

Although Celtic have won their last four league matches they have by no means been blowing teams away, so it could take a little time for them to explode into action against what is a stubborn Kilmarnock side.

I’m backing both sides to find the net here.

Kyogo Furuhashi to score first @ 3/1

The Japanese striker netted his first-ever Champions League goal for Celtic against Lazio on Wednesday night and he looks worthy of interest to bag another this weekend at a decent price.

I’ve gone for first goalscorer to add more value, as Furuhashi is odds-on to score anytime.

The 28-year-old has netted four times so far this season in the Scottish Premiership, and he’s fired blanks in his last two outings, so I think he’s due a goal here.
