Burnley continue their battle to escape Premier League relegation on Saturday afternoon (15:00) when they welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Turf Moor.

The Clarets currently sit 19th in the standings, six points adrift of safety, while the visitors are in 10th place after picking up just a solitary point from their past three outings. Below you can find our Burnley vs Brighton prediction, featuring team news and match odds.

Burnley vs Brighton Prediction

  • Brighton to win and both teams to score @ 23/10
  • Joao Pedro to score anytime @ 6/4

Team News

The hosts remain without several key men this weekend as Aaron Ramsey, Nathan Redmond, Luca Koleosho, Jordan Beyer, Ameen Al-Dakhil and Han-Moah Massengo all remain out injured. Dara O'Shea will also be absent due to his red card in the defeat at Goodison Park last weekend.

As for Brighton, Solly March, Jack Hinshelwood, Kaoru Mitoma, Billy Gilmour and James Milner are still on the treatment table, while this game could come too soon for Adam Webster and Evan Ferguson.

Match Odds

The Clarets are 5/2 - or a theoretical chance of 28.6% - of picking up a huge three points at Turf Moor, while Brighton can be backed at even money, suggesting they have a 50% chance of winning the game.

The draw is currently priced at 11/4, and over 2.5 goals is available at 4/7. The sides played out a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture at the Amex Stadium, and a repeat of that scoreline on Saturday is 13/2.

Brighton to win and both teams to score @ 23/10

Burnley have lost all seven of their home games this term when facing a top-half team, and I see that trend continuing here when they face Brighton.

The Seagulls have taken just four points from the last 15 on offer in the Premier League and were soundly beaten at their own place by title-chasing Arsenal last weekend, however, Roberto De Zerbi's side are undefeated in their last three visits to Turf Moor.

Despite Burnley's poor form, they've managed to score in four of their last five matches, and only three teams in the top half have conceded more goals than Brighton so far this campaign, so I think there'll be action at both ends on Saturday.

Joao Pedro to score anytime @ 6/4

Brighton's Brazilian marksman has netted on 19 occasions this season across all competitions, but De Zerbi admitted that bringing the striker back into the fold in the 0-0 draw with Brentford on April 3 was the wrong call.

That game marked Pedro's first appearance for the Seagulls in seven weeks after a long lay-off due to injury, and he was reduced to a 27-minute cameo from the bench against Arsenal last weekend.

After a week's rest, the 22-year-old should be in better condition to make an impact here and four of his eight Premier League strikes have come away from home, so backing the Brazilian to score anytime at 6/4 could be the way to go.
