Arsenal’s determined quest for their first Premier League title in 20 years continues on Saturday as they travel to Turf Moor to take on Burnley (15:00). Mikel Arteta’s men were purring at the London Stadium as they dismantled West Ham 6-0, and now they will look to make it five wins in a row against the relegation-threatened Clarets.

Below we’ve previewed the match and put forward a couple of betting selections for you to consider.

Burnley vs Arsenal Tips

  • Arsenal to win and over 2.5 goals @ 5/6
  • Bukayo Saka to score @ 6/4

Team News

Nathan Redmond is out for the season having had surgery on his thigh, but Luca Koleosho is set to return before May. Charlie Taylor should return for this one, but it has all gone quiet surrounding Jordan Beyer’s return. He is unlikely to feature this weekend, as a result.

Arsenal are without Jurrien Timber and Emile Smith Rowe, but Oleksandr Zinchenko could be available again, as could Gabriel Jesus after he missed the victory over West Ham. Takehiro Tomiyasu was given a rest after his Asian Cup exploits so could feature here, while Thomas Partey is also nearing a return.

Match Odds

Burnley are the 9/1 outsiders to win this match, while Arsenal are the clear favourites, priced at 3/10 to take all three points. If you fancy a draw, you can back it at 9/2, while BTTS is 10/11 and over 2.5 goals is 4/7.

Arsenal to win and over 2.5 goals @ 5/6

Arsenal have won their last four games in a row, and are looking in a great spot to win the Premier League title this term. However, if they want to make that dream a reality they simply cannot afford to drop points against teams mired in a relegation battle - such as Burnley.

Arsenal have looked so superior to all of their opponents over the last month, and with key players coming back from injury or international duty, it feels like they are only getting stronger. They’ve also put their goalscoring worries to bed, scoring a whopping 16 goals over their last four outings. No side in the league can match that total, while Burnley are without a win since the 23rd of December.

They’ve shown signs of improvement of late, but they’ve also lost 3-1 to both Manchester City and Liverpool in recent weeks. I believe we will see a similar scoreline here, with the away side coming out on top. Over 2.5 goals feels like a safe bet, and combining that with an Arsenal win gives us a healthy price of 5/6.

Bukayo Saka to score @ 6/4

Bukayo Saka has been in flying form of late. The England man scored twice at the London Stadium, which was impressive after last season’s crucial missed penalty, and in total he has scored five goals in his last five Premier League games. Although Arteta can rely on goalscorers from all over the pitch, he doesn’t have anybody else like Saka.

The English winger is a constant threat on the right, and is unlikely to get subbed off at any point. He’s also the chosen penalty taker now for the Gunners which gives this price even more weight. Against a Burnley defence that has conceded 50 goals already this term, I believe Saka can keep up his excellent goalscoring form.
