Friday 14th February 2025, 15:41pm

We’ve got a jam-packed schedule of football coming up this Saturday and as always, we want to find some winners from all of this action. We’ve got Premier League and Football League action to take in from across the country, while all across Europe teams will battle it out once more. Below you can find my BTTS Tips as I look for a few winners this Saturday.

BTTS Tips - Saturday, February 15

  • Middlesbrough vs Watford BTTS @ 8/11
  • Sheffield Wednesday vs Coventry City BTTS @ 8/11
  • Bayer Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich BTTS @ 8/15
  • Birmingham City vs Charlton Athletic BTTS @ 6/5

Middlesbrough vs Watford BTTS @ 8/11

Let’s start in the Championship where an out-of-form Watford outfit travel to Middlesbrough. Michael Carrick’s men remain in the play-off hunt and statistically are still one of the best attacking units in the second tier according to xG. Both teams have scored in four of the last five Boro matches as their defence continues to leak goals, letting in three apiece to Sunderland and Sheffield United in their last two outings.

That duo are two of the best four teams in the division, so Carrick will be hoping for a more dominant display when they host Watford. However, the Hornets have the highest BTTS percentage in the entire league at 62%. Both teams have scored in three of their last five, with the only two blips on that record coming when they failed to score with 10 men against Norwich, and were then pumped 4-0 by league leaders Leeds. I think they are a good shout to find the net, as two poor defences meet at the Riverside.

Sheffield Wednesday vs Coventry BTTS @ 8/11

We will head to Hillsborough next as Sheffield Wednesday take on Coventry for the seventh time in just over 14 months. These two are very familiar with each other now, and I think they will be able to produce an entertaining clash on Saturday. Djeidi Gassama is performing well for the home side, while the BTTS success rate for both clubs ranks slightly above average, at 53 and 50 per cent respectively.

Coventry are in fine fettle having won five of their last six games to drag themselves in the play-off fixture, and only Leeds (yep, them again), have stopped them scoring in 2025. Meanwhile, Wednesday have also scored in all but one of their fixtures since the turn of the year (You’ll never guess who that was against… yep - Leeds). The FA Cup fixture ended 1-1 the last time these two met, and I can see something similar here.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich BTTS @ 8/15

A mighty meeting of German giants takes place on Saturday afternoon and we should be in for a thriller. Remarkably, Leverkusen have seen both teams score in 81 per cent of their 22 league games this season and the German champions will be desperate to close the eight-point gap on the current league leaders.

Bayern have been pretty superb this term, only losing once so far domestically and averaging over three goals a game. With Harry Kane in form, they should find the net here. It’s a shorter price than our other selections, but one that should come in. If you find yourself at a loose end at 17:30 on Saturday, tune in to what should be a belting encounter.

Birmingham City vs Charlton Athletic BTTS @ 6/5

This is a big price given Birmingham City are at home, and although I expect the League 1 leaders to win, I do think they will be tested defensively. They’ve only conceded 19 goals in 28 league games so far, and will surely win the league, but I fancy goals at both ends here. Birmingham’s attack needs no introduction with Jay Stansfield leading the line.

They even pushed Newcastle all the way, scoring twice against them in the FA Cup before losing late on. However, Charlton have won five of their last six and haven’t failed to score since January 4. They’ve also got a man in form in Matty Godden, who has consistently scored goals at this level and in the league above with Coventry City. Give him a sniff in the box and he should find the net. I think Charlton can find the net at St Andrews at a big price.
