There is little to separate Brighton & Hove Albion and Fulham ahead of their Premier League clash at the Amex Stadium on Saturday (15:00). There is just one point between them with the Seagulls sat in eighth and the Cottagers in ninth. Both teams are in a strong position to break into the European places for next season, so the outcome of this game could have a huge impact at the end of the season.

The two sides come into this fixture in decent form, and this should lead to a cracker on the South Coast. Check out my Brighton vs Fulham predictions below, where you will also find the latest match odds and team news.

Brighton vs Fulham Odds

Brighton have won their last three league games coming into this clash, two of which came on home turf. They are 21/20, which has an implied probability of 48.8%, to emerge victorious on Saturday.

There have been six draws in 13 fixtures at the Amex in the top flight this season, and the stalemate can be backed at 13/5.

Having won their previous three away trips in the Premier League, Fulham are 13/5 (27.8%) to pick up the three points, which also offers good value.

Both teams to score was a successful bet in two of those games on the road, as well as the reverse fixture between the two teams at Craven Cottage in December. BTTS is available at 8/13 on this occasion.

Brighton's Joao Pedro has seven goals for the season in the league and has found the back of the net in the last two matches. He is the 7/4 favourite to score anytime in Sussex.

Team News

Ferdi Kadioglu (toe), James Milner (hamstring). Joel Veltman (knock) and Igor Julio (thigh) remain sidelined for Brighton, while captain Lewis Dunk (rib), Jason Steele (shoulder), Kaoru Mitoma (knee) and Matt O'Riley (illness) will need to be assessed ahead of the match.

Tariq Lamptey must serve a one-game suspension for the two yellow cards he picked up in the Seagulls' FA Cup fifth-round triumph over Newcastle United last Sunday. Boss Fabian Hurzeler may turn to Jack Hinshelwood to fill in at right-back in Lamptey's absence.

Carlos Baleba is set to continue in midfield and it looks like he will be partnered with either Diego Gomez or Yasin Ayari. Yankuba Minteh, who was nominated for Premier League Player of the Month for February, has three goals in his past four outings and should be deployed on the right flank.

Danny Welbeck netted the winner at Newcastle last week and could be set for a start here, which might lead to Joao Pedro playing slightly deeper.

Fulham have injury troubles of their own as Reiss Nelson (thigh) Kenny Tete (knee) and Harry Wilson (fractured foot) are all in the infirmary. Adama Traore has been struggling with an ankle issue and he will need to be assessed before the trip down south.

Alex Iwobi and Willian will likely start on the flanks in his absence, sandwiched by Emile Smith Rowe, while Raul Jimenez is expected to lead the line.

Marco Silva is having to cope without combative midfielder Sasa Lukic for the next two games as he racked up his 10th booking of the season at Wolverhampton Wanderers on February 25.

Andreas Pereira might be tasked with playing in a deeper midfield role alongside Sander Berge, but Silva can also turn to Tom Cairney or Harrison Reed for that role.

Draw @ 13/5

Both teams are in good form coming into this clash and they will both fancy themselves as credible candidates to finish in the European places this season. It's so tight in this race as there are just six points separating Nottingham Forest in third and Aston Villa in 10th.

A bit of consistency in the final months of the campaign may be all that is required to secure European football for any of the clubs in the mix, and both Brighton and Fulham are in the thick of it.

I think there are similarities between the two clubs because there have been times this season when they have looked brilliant and others where they have been very disappointing.

You could say it is hard to predict what to expect from them week-on-week, but they are in good form right now, and this should lead to a fascinating encounter in BN1. Right now, there's little to separate them and I think backing the draw is considered sensible here.

Brighton have the home advantage which can make a difference, but Fulham are having so much joy on their travels at the moment, they won't be fazed by the Seagulls' current form.

Both teams to score @ 8/13

There are going to be a lot of exciting attacking players on display in this contest, and so I believe BTTS is worth backing on Saturday. I mentioned earlier how this has been a winning selection in two of Fulham's last three away games in the Premier League.

This was also a successful bet when the two teams faced earlier in the campaign, which Fulham won 3-1 in west London. Additionally, Brighton's last league appearance, a 2-1 triumph over AFC Bournemouth, came inside this stadium.

I think it's fair to assume we will be treated to goals at both ends in this fixture as a result.
