Brighton & Hove Albion vs Manchester City Bet Builder Tips: Haaland on target in 12/5 shot

Brighton & Hove Albion welcome Manchester City to the Amex Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday (17:30, Sky Sports Main Event), with both teams looking to get back to winning ways.
The Seagulls are winless in their last two outings in the top flight, while City have lost their last three matches in all competitions. This looks to be an interesting encounter down in Sussex, so I have put together a 12/5 bet builder to try and predict how it will all unfold. Read below for my Brighton & Hove Albion vs Manchester City Bet Builder tips.

Both teams to score
I think it's probably safer to avoid going with a result in this one given the unpredictability surrounding both teams at the minute. City have lost three on the spin in all competitions and it shows that they are clearly struggling without recently-crowned Ballon d'Or winner Rodri.
The Citizens have been easy to score against, conceding 15 goals in 11 matches across all competitions since the Spaniard suffered his injury against Arsenal in September (including the two goals the Gunners scored).
This hasn't been helped by injuries to defenders Ruben Dias and John Stones recently, so Brighton will be smelling blood when the reigning champions rock up to the Amex on Saturday evening.
I like the chances of seeing goals at both ends in this clash because it has landed in four of the hosts' five matches at home in the league this season. BTTS has also been a winning selection in four of City's five matches on the road in the league, so everything points to another goal-fest at the weekend.
Over 3.5 goals
Speaking of goal-fests, I think there is another threshold worth backing on Saturday. I like the look of over 3.5 goals because both these sides have plenty of attacking quality, while they have both shown to be vulnerable defensively.
There have been at least four goals scored in four of Man City's 10 Premier League clashes, as well as in three of their four Champions League fixtures this term. Over 3.5 goals has also been a winning selection in four of Brighton's top flight matches in 2024/25, including their last three home matches. So I think we will see this trend continue at the Amex when the defending champions come to town.
I think the chances of this landing are enhanced by the fact that we will be seeing two prolific goalscorers on show. City's Erling Haaland has 11 goals in the league so far but the goals have dried up for him recently.
However, with the amount of high-scoring games that both teams have been involved in of late, this might be the game where we see him return to his usual self and score more than once in a game.
Then there is Brighton striker Danny Welbeck, who has six goals in the top-flight so far this campaign, truly rolling back the years.
Erlin Haaland anytime goalscorer
This bet builder is rounded off by backing the Norwegian star to get on the scoresheet. He has scored just once in his last five league fixtures, which is uncharacteristic of him, and it appears he is the person struggling most in Rodri's absence.
However, he will have been happy to see playmaker Kevin De Bruyne return to action in the week, as he could really benefit from the service that the Belgian provides. Haaland likes to play off the shoulder and make runs in behind, and there are many occasions where his teammates don't spot him. These are the situations where De Bruyne would, and then ping the ball into his path.
I think we could see these two reunite in the league at Brighton, and it could have the effect that the players, fans and Pep Guardiola will be hoping for - with their front man back on the scoresheet with his confidence restored.
